Walked in thinking it would be a decent breakfast. Walked out planning my next visit.
First up, the chicken and waffles. Crispy, juicy chicken. Buttery waffle with the perfect edge crunch. It hits every note.
Then the blueberry lemon pancakes. Tart, sweet, and stacked so fluffy they almost float. Easily the best pancakes I’ve had in months.
And the breakfast burrito? We weren’t even planning on ordering it. Total sleeper hit. Stuffed with sausage, bacon, chorizo, eggs, and more. Wrapped tight. Grilled crisp. That burrito showed up and showed out.
Everyone’s talking about the Birria Short Rib Benedict, the Short Rib Omelette, and the Chilaquiles Rojos. After tasting what this kitchen can do, believe the hype. That Birria Benedict is next on my list.
Inside, the place is calm and bright. Open layout. No loud music. Super comfortable. Even though it’s fast casual, the service is fast, friendly, and on point.
Pro Tips • Sit outside if the weather’s good. • Order the burrito. Don’t think. Just do it. • Go early. This spot gets busy for a reason.
Final Call Poached Neighborhood Kitchen is the real deal. Anaheim brunch spots just got some serious competition. This place is fresh, flavorful, and absolutely...
Read moreI was apprehensive about the price. Seemed on the steep side but figured I’d give it a shot. The quality ended up being really good. The hash browns are really strong! Probably my favorite part. Their unlabeled hot sauce on the table was great too.
I ordered the Chile Verde Benedict and it was good. The hollandaise sauce might have been fighting the chile verde a bit much. Didn’t quite mesh for me. The eggs were poached perfectly.
The only downside really was that the EDM music at 7am was a bit too much, but not a deal breaker. Also, I could tell my water glass was washed in the same dishwasher as the egg dishes. It did not smell good.
Overall a positive experience and would go back.
UPDATE: I went back a second time. The food was still good, but the water glasses still smell like eggs from the...
Read moreThe first thing I immediately loved about this place is that it is not loud. The music is kept at a low volume, conducive to enjoyable conversation. A big plus! The outdoor seating is lovely, but even the indoor feels open and airy due to the layout. The food was great! We had breakfast tacos, breakfast burritos, and pancakes. The service was quick too. The only less than ideal thing we experienced is that since you order prior to being seated, you don't really have a server assigned to your table and in our case nobody brought drink refills unless we flagged someone down as they ran past. Overall, it was a great first experience and we are thrilled to have such a desperately needed breakfast option added to the...
