I came in to the Anderson location for the first time with my niece for her birthday gift. The receptionist was so kind, bubbly, sweet and helpful!! I had Ken who did my pedi and mani. He was so sweet and did an amazing job! I loved him!! I wish I could say the same about the lady who did my nieces pedi and mani… she was “okay” I really wanted my niece to get the full experience of being at a nail Salon.. the girl at the front desk was helpful in telling me the price differences and I told her I wanted the whole experience.. this was a gift from me to my niece so price wasn’t an issue. I just wanted her to… You know get her pedi done (and just enjoy that alone) and then going over to the tables and getting your nails done (and enjoy that alone). Almost instantly the nail tech started to paint her hand nails.. so I told the lady she would be getting a full manicure with me… I even said the full manicure experience for her birthday!! (I clarified that) the nail took the nail polish off of my niece but then started to do her nails again while my niece was sitting in the chair… half heartedly. I just feel like my niece (who was turning 6) was trying so hard to hold a glass bowl on her lap with her hands in it… and not only that but there was so much going on bc the lady kept going back and forth between her toes and her fingers…it felt like a very rushed experience for my niece and my niece wasn’t able to FULLY enjoy the experience like I wanted her to. I was hoping that we’d sit together for the pedis.. enjoying them and then sit together for the manis, enjoying them. She was totally finished by time I was taken over to do my gel mani. So she sat there in the pedi chair. Thankfully my son came with us so he was able to keep her preoccupied. I’m only making this 4 stars and not 5 bc of this. I do wish I would of spoken up more but I’m not so good at that type of thing. I don’t even like “complaining” in this review but the more I thought about it… I just was confused how I paid such a high price for her to not get a high price experience. I would of spoke up to the nail tech but when I did the 1st time about her painting my neices nails without the manicure.. she definitely gave vibes that weren’t good.. like she was annoyed by it. So I was just biting my tongue the rest of the time. I really wish I could remember her name.. but I can’t. So that was a bit disappointing to know I told the receptionist I wanted to pay for the “go big or go home” so I should not of felt bad telling the nail tech she was not doing what I was willing to pay for but when I told her that after she just started to paint my nieces nails I definitely felt her annoyance. I paid almost the same amount for myself and my niece so to see her experience be HALF or less of what mine was… just bc she was a child was extremely disappointing. I would understand the nail tech cutting corners if I wasn’t willing to pay the higher price but I was and I did pay the higher price. And even left a good tip bc I’m a kind person. So maybe just reminding the nail techs to give the kids the full experience when they come in!! (Especially when it’s a child’s birthday!!) They might be little but if there parents/caretakers are paying for a service they should receive the same service!!! I know kids tend to get finished quicker then adults. But this wasn’t that. This was a total rush by the nail tech. And she didn’t rush to do another client. She rushed to go to the back. And I even booked the appointments days in advance. So it wasn’t as though we came in last minute and took from someone...
Read moreWe went here for my friends wedding and I’m from Utah so I’ve never been to salons here. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and figured the nails would be the same par. I saw on the menu that for a gel acrylic manicure it would be $57 which I figured was reasonable and comparable to what I paid in Utah. After sitting down with my manicurist I showed her what I want and she started working. Then she told me that it would be $87. I was kinda shocked and thought it was a joke. I’ve lived in NYC and it was never that expensive even there. I asked her for what and she started saying the almond shape was an extra $10 and French tip was an extra $10 and honestly I couldn’t understand what she was saying for half of it and when I tried to get the information out of her she acted like she couldn’t understand me and so didn’t share it all. I was annoyed and wanted to go check with someone about it, but this was supposed to be a fun occasion for my friend so I didn’t want to make a scene and said whatever was fine. She kept doing my nails and when I asked her for certain things she seemed either a bit annoyed or couldn’t understand me and had to get someone to translate. Near the end I was not at all happy with the result but kinda got annoyed with her being annoyed with me so was going to let it slide since she took forever and everyone else was done with their pedicures and almost done with their manicures too. But then she was filing my nails underneath with a plain stick file and cut my finger bad. At that point I was like fine, if you’re going to hurt me I’ll be picky and asked her to clean up the edges more. Its still not as good as a $55 manicure at home (I ended up paying $93 overall for an acrylic gel manicure). In fact the edges were rough and there are chunks of acrylic under my nails. I was walking out and overheard my friends saying how they all were cut by the sanders and how she should ice her hands so they hopefully wouldn’t look bad for pictures. It’s sad if this is considered such a highly rated place. I wish I could get my money back it was such a...
Read moreI never leave google reviews but after my experience today I think it was very necessary. I went into the salon around 5pm today to get a pedicure and to fix one nail for an upcoming event/photos. My pedicure with Leon was great he did an amazing job but after that is when it went downhill. I already had to wait about 20 minutes for an acrylic tech to finish up with their client which was fine I didn’t mind waiting. I believe the nail tech that started on my broken nail was Nathan. As soon as I sat in his chair he began drilling off my broken nail then proceeded to place bubble gum pink acrylic on my nail (my nails are nude with shades of blue French tips). When I told him I don’t think that matches and could we find something that does he kept telling me I don’t have that acrylic go back to where you got your nails done from and then proceeded to walk away and grab his next customer. I would have done that but unfortunately I am from a different state and go to school down here at the moment. After all that happened a new nail tech was brought over to me to see if she could help but from the beginning she had an attitude. I kept trying to explain to her that my nail didn’t need to be an exact replica just something similar that would blend in when I take pictures. She ultimately did my nail but had a very nasty attitude towards me. The young lady at the front was very helpful but I don’t think I would EVER spend my...
