Palmetto Distillery — Attraction in Anderson

Upon driving from North Carolina to Pensacola, Florida, my partner and I, saw a sign that advertised for Palmetto Distillery that stated they were voted best craft whiskey, so of course being the whiskey lovers that we are, we decided to take a 20 minute detour to check it out. Upon arriving, we admired the aesthetic of the place and that is where our good experience ended. Upon walking in, there was a gentlemen sweeping, who looked at us and then walked away and went towards back distillery area to talk to two more gentlemen. He never greeted us nor did he ever ask us if we needed any help. He popped in again to look at us, and again never said a word to us. At this point, I was furious. I didn’t know if he just had poor customer service or if he just took a disliking to the color of my skin or maybe it was the fact that we are lesbian couple. I clearly made eye contact with him on both occasions trying to engage but both times, he and the other two gentlemen ignored us. Needless to say, I wasted 45 minutes of drive time and left...

Outstanding Product and Service. We really enjoyed the flavors we chose. What was exceptional in our morning coffee and hot chocolate was the butter pecan cream. The only goofy thing I did was I mixed up the lids and put the pecan one on the salted carmel moonshine and diluted it with the pecan cream, so my 24 year old daughter who has allergies to nuts, cannot now have any of the salted carmel. Found this local distillery on a visit to SC. They have a storied history and the moonshine is not something we see every day so we spent hundreds $$ on a variety of bottles and head back home. Even told friends & family and they spent hundreds $$. Fast forward and we're locals now. Imagine our surprise when we find Palmetto moonshine on the shelf at the local liquor store.
