Come see historic items inside this house that has been in the family for over 180 years. Check out the ancient furniture, and the mini replica food in the kitchen. take a minute to enjoy the beautiful floor to ceiling windows in the parlor and the dining room area. This is a cool place, especially for history buffs. You can learn slot about the history of the area and the prominent family that owned and built the house. I have been twice. Never seems to be crowed, there is plenty of parking and restrooms available. There is a small fee to tour the inside of the house, but is well worth it. The staff was very pleasant. My wife and I visited Orman House on January 15, 2015 and spent an hour or so with a small group of visitors on a tour led by Ranger Mike, who was spectacular. An immense store of historical information about Orman House, Apalachicola, the bay and the river, presented by someone who obviously loves his work.
