When I went here as a kid, I had come from an art class that wasnât very uplifting, and made me insecure about my work. However, once I stepped foot into this place I was given genuine, helpful advice and I canât put into words how much I was taught in a way that honed in on techniques that I would continue to use for the rest of my art journey. I was a student at Color My World in elementary all the way to middle school. I was taught how to do draw from observation, how to sketch properly, and many painting techniques as well. The teachers allowed me to work hard on technique and practice, while also to make creative works of my own that stemmed from subjects that I enjoyed like theater and anime at the time. Iâm now a senior in highschool and with the techniques I had learned back at Color My World, I was accepted into the art departments at Syracuse University, San Jose State, and DePaul University, which were all the schools I had applied to under an art major. Overall, I could not have been more thankful for everything I was taught at this place. It made art a fun, enjoyable thing for me, and my teacher Mrs. Myla taught me practices and techniques I still use today. All I want to do is encourage others to learn at this place as well, as a way to give back for what theyâve...

Read moreI was the first student when Ms. Radika opened up Color My World in Artesia. Throughout my life I had gone to many different art classes, but never loved or felt like I was growing as an artist, until Ms. Radikaâs class. Since 2011, on days where I felt the most uninspired, the studio was always there to inspire me and allow my creative flow to run all over the canvas. The art teachers there are all so friendly and inspiring; they help you grow and challenge you to do something more intricate to allow you to gain experience in new art styles, techniques, etc.. Youâll never feel like youâre not growing or progressing, because youâll learn something in every class. Even when you think youâve made a mistake, as Bob Ross always says, âThere are no mistakes in art, just...
