My husband and I arrived at the Asbury Ocean Club Hotel on a Monday afternoon for our "babymoon". Upon arrival, the staff were immediately helpful and we were pleased to find out that we were upgraded to a nicer room. Upon arrival, we were offered a welcome drink and the concierge was also extremely helpful in providing the spa menu.
We were also given parking choices (i.e. street parking, lot parking, or valet in the hotel garage). Due to my husband having an F-350, we did opt to park in the lot next to the hotel as the hotel parking garage for valet had a lower clearance height. Although this likely wouldn't be an issue for most people, it is worth a mention.
Overall, our stay was nothing short of amazing. We loved the room, all of the service, and the food. We had breakfast outside on the pool deck each morning and loved everything we tried. We also loved one of the outdoor bartenders, Brandon. He was such a a pleasure to chat with during our lunch and his service was top tier.
We planned to only stay until Wednesday but after having such a wonderful time (and wanting to spend an extra day just relaxing by the pool), we made the decision to add an extra night to our accommodations. As we booked through our travel card, there were a few hiccups between the hotel and the card company but things were ironed out without too much of a headache. Again, probably would not be everyone's experience but worth mentioning, especially if you book through AMEX Fine Hotels and Resorts--we unfortunately had to play a bit of phone tag between the card company and the hotel to ensure our previous reservation was extended properly.
As previously mentioned, we did extend our stay specifically to have the extra day to relax by the pool. On Wednesday, we started our day with a delicious breakfast, headed back to our room to get changed into bathing suits, and embarked back out to the pool. Staff were extremely helpful in getting us ice water, helping to set up the lounge beds/chairs, bringing towels, etc. Up until this point, everything was top notch. However, we did notice that there were geese walking around the pool deck and playing in the pool. Although cute, they also came with their fair share of feces which they spread across the pool deck and in the pool. Hotel staff were prompt with cleaning up the deck. After about two hours of laying by the pool, we walked back to our room to clean up for lunch. As we returned to the outdoor bar for our mid-day meal, we noticed that the pool was officially closed for the remainder of the day (presumably to clean the pool after the geese). While this wasn't the biggest deal in the grand scheme of things, it was disappointing to see that the pool (which we extended our stay to enjoy) was now closed for the day.
Luckily the weather was nice and we were able to venture out into Asbury to entertain ourselves for the remainder of the afternoon. Overall, not a major deal, but we were a bit disappointed.
Overall, we loved our stay and would recommend Asbury Ocean Club Hotel to anyone we know. While there were a few inconveniences, we know that most of them were...
Read moreThis is not the Jersey shore that you see on MTV. This is a new level of refinement and luxury only an hour from most North Jersey Suburbs.
Salt Hotels has built the boutique hotel that will redefine luxury at the Jersey shore. From the second you enter the resort you are welcomed by staff dressed in nautical uniforms that make them feel more like locals than hotel employees. The understated entrance leads you to the elevators that take you to the 4th floor living room complete with a library, fireplace and views of the Atlantic.
What the builder of this home does so beautifully is to dissolve the boarder between inside and out by creating framed views everywhere you look. Seated in the living room you can see across the oversized outdoor bar to the heated pool and just beyond you see the horizon of the ocean. Every finish and material in the space was designed to transform natural light to create the perfect ambiance at any time of day.
INSIDE OUR ROOM: We were in room 40 at the front of the hotel. It's an oversized 1BD suite with a walk out to the pool deck. Similar to the residences at the Ocean Club, the suite has floor to ceiling windows that slide into one each other further blur the boarder between inside and out. Every suite has 7â wide-plank, bleached white oak hardwood flooring, and furniture that is quintessentially Hamptons chic.
No detail was missed at this resort. The suite comes with a mini bar that's' stocked with La Colombe cold brew and other eco friendly beverages. Their partnership with MiN in NYC is what got me most excited though. I've been buying scent stories from MiN for a few years now and to see their products in the shower just elevated this resort to an entirely different level.
SERVICE Salt Hotels hired only the most customer focused staff to work at the Ocean Club. From Makenzie at the front desk to Michelle, Sean and Chelsea on the guest services team, everyone goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. They work to make you feel like family while you're there. We went for our 2nd anniversary and they had my wife's favorite flowers in the room when we arrived. It really is the little details that make all the difference.
Oh almost forgot - don't miss the healthy breakfast in the living room on most mornings. They brew coffee from a local Asbury Park roaster that lacks the bitter taste that many "mass brewed" coffees have.
CONCLUSION This is a must visit if you frequent the Jersey Shore. But be warned, once you try the Ocean Club, you will not settle for anything less when you come...
Read moreI donât often write reviews, but our recent stay at the Asbury Ocean Club was so extraordinary that it truly deserves the highest praise I can give.
Over Memorial Day weekend, I got engaged at the Jersey Shore, and we chose to celebrate this milestone by spending two nights in the Ocean View Suite at the Asbury Ocean Club. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us not just as guests, but as if we were part of their family.
The Ocean View Suite itself was stunning â elegant, serene, and with breathtaking views of the Atlantic â but what made this experience exceptional was the incredible service. The staff went so far above and beyond, it felt like every single person on the team took personal pride in making our weekend special.
We hosted an engagement celebration with over 70 guests at the hotel, and the level of responsiveness and professionalism in the days and weeks leading up to the event was nothing short of phenomenal. A special thank you to Ali, who routinely responded to our emails well past 8 p.m. and made sure every detail was addressed with warmth and precision. Itâs rare to encounter someone so dedicated and accommodating.
On the day of the party, the weather started to look uncertain but Mia, the on-site coordinator, was calm, proactive, and absolutely clutch. She leapt into action to execute a contingency plan without missing a beat. The result? A seamless event that felt magical from start to finish, regardless of the weather.
Even the âsmallâ moments reflected the teamâs commitment to excellence. The two Georges, bellhop and concierge, were kind, quick, and just plain awesome. I needed a jacket pressed last-minute; they had it back, perfectly done, and hung in my closet within the hour. Late-night cravings? No problem. Room service arrived promptly, even when we ordered very late. On one occasion, the kitchen had closed but they went out of their way to convert our Uber Eats order into a room service-style experience, complete with proper presentation and delivery.
From planning to execution, from check-in to checkout, the Asbury Ocean Club staff showed what hospitality should look like. They helped make one of the most important weekends of our lives feel effortless, beautiful, and unforgettable. And there were so many staff that I did not mention that did an exceptional job as well.
If youâre considering a stay or planning a special event at the Jersey Shore, look no further. The Asbury Ocean Club isnât just a hotel. Itâs a team of people who genuinely care. I cannot recommend it...
