*Edit - I feel the need to make an edit on my review. I still think the pizza overall is good but I'm tired of waiting in a huge line for 15-20 min and then another 15-20 min to get a slice or two of pizza. Absolutely ridiculous. You wait all that time after ordering and you get basically cold slices. Why the wait then? I always see pies right there on the counter that slices can be grabbed from very quickly and easily. But for some reason there's always a long line and a long wait. It doesn't seem they have any type of management ever or anybody who's in charge just a bunch of teens high School / college kids who obviously have no idea had to do things efficiently. Yet after waiting in a long line to order to in turn wait another fifteen or more minutes for a slice they sure do push the tip. I agree with others the seaside heights location does a much better job. This place really needs to do something with having somebody there who is in charge and keeps things moving. People coming there want to grab a quick slice for themselves or their hungry kids. They don't want to wait 20 to 30 minutes for a slice or two. * Great pizza. Big slices. Limited seating but at least they have some tables which is nice. Other places have none. Line can be long because it's popular and they send every slice to do a turn in the oven so it can be a bit before you order and get your slice. Not big on when you pay it asks you for a tip before completing the transaction as many places do nowadays and the cashier points out the tip feature. You're literally taking my order and someone else is handing me a slice of pizza. Not a tipping situation. And yes I've worked in multiple food settings including pizzerias. People don't tip when getting a slice usually. I did have one person who said if you don't want to tip just hit no tip and because she said that I tipped her. I appreciated that. Nice option if you want something quick and relatively inexpensive compared to the other restaurants on...

Somehow this is pointing to Asbury Park location, should be Seaside Heights. I don't see how to edit the location.

So disappointed. We have been eating puzza at Maruca's for many years and loving it, even when they were in the other boardwalk location before superstorm Sandy. Today was the first time this season. The plain slice was cold even after being in the oven for a minute. It was definitely not fresh. The crust didn't have the usual delightful crackle. Another problem was the worker at the ordering window, who took our cash, touched the register, and then touched the pizza before and after heating it. Obviously she touched lots of people's money and pizza. In the age of covid, people should know better. Last disappointment, we always would eat at the 4 or 5 little outdoor tables but today we got chased away. Then made a new outdoor pen of tables for waitress service, nice idea, but the original little picnic tables apparently are for waitress service also, even though they are not in the fencing or near the sign. We got chased away, politely but firmly, although all tables were empty (including the new ones). I askes to speak to the owner but he was "sitting in his car". Really? Couldn't eat my cold, disapointing slice and won't be back. I miss the...

So. We got pizza from here today. Tasted like a day old and reheated. Definitely not a fresh pie and paid $35 for 5 slices. Also! Got an attitude when asked to make then well done. For a staplemark in Asbury park this is sub par and embarrassing to a city that represents a quality beach experience. Shame on you! You want good pizza? Wait a little longer and take a drive and go the THE GALLEY! Best pizza in town.

Couldn’t find a way to reply. I’m a local and have gotten pizza from you on the boardwalk so no way to confuse with a neighbor. We paid $35 for 5 slices and a $5 tip. To get an attitude when asked to make a stale old slice of pizza well done. Maybe you should re-train your employees on how to prepare a fresh pie, charge accordingly and present proper etiquette. Again. The Galley. Best...

My family walked up and down and back and forth on the boardwalk looking for food. It was crazy hot and I couldn’t imagine eating pizza (also, there was a long line). Then, I went over and checked the pizza out, and smelled all of the smells, and I was hooked! I had a slice of the white pie, and it was ginormous. The only hiccup that happened was that as I walked back to our table, one of my kids reached out and grabbed my wrist - which caused my plate to tip over and for my slice to slide off. Luckily, I have the reflexes of a jungle cat and was able to slam my hand against the hot slice and into the plate - thus saving the day, and my lunch - with only minor burns. It was totally worth it! So good. So big. So hot. So yum!

Overall, this place was a good experience. The pizza was really good, and the slice was big. At $6.50 for a slice in a shore town, that’s pretty reasonable in my book. They have a few tables to share but the line does get long. I would definitely suggest you try at least a slice on your next visit to Asbury Park beach. The only negative I have (and it’s a personal pet peeve of mine) is they only accept credit card or Apple Pay. I am a cash is king person so luckily my spouse had a card. Ironic though that they have a cash tip jar at the register. Lol
