This place is an absolute JOKE and I will never be back after my last experience. They very RARELY have legit name brands besides some handbags like Frye, Michael Kors, and Coach, but the clothing is all tacky patterns and outdated prints that look like they are from the 1980s (never a name brand when I check the tag) and leaves ALOT to be desired. When you take your high end name brands in for consignment they might as well slap you in the face with their low ball offensive offers. I walked out with my items LITERALLY LAUGHING OUT LOUD when they told me the offer. I brought in an AUTHENTIC Chanel cambon wallet in great condition with no rips or stains from a smoke free home with the serial number sticker attached to prove authenticity, and they offered me...get this....$14 for it!! When they said "We'll offer you fourteen" I thought they meant $1400, but when they clarified they were offering $14, I grabbed it pretty fast and laughed out loud and said are you kidding me? This wallet was $990 pre-tax when purchased new. I laughed so hard and walked out and sold it on ebay 2 days later for 30 TIMES that amount. They told me that their offer was so low because they don't have the "market" for the item and would turn around and supposedly only resell it for $40 if they were lucky!!! YEAH RIGHT....I'm not that stupid. If they are selling AUTHENTIC Chanel wallets for $40, they are getting ripped off and I can say I have never seen one for that cheap, not even on ebay. They turned down an authentic Dior belt buckle in great condition as well as an authentic pair of Chanel sunglasses because again they said "these items were out of date and not in style and they don't have the market for them"...again, another laugh out loud moment from me because Chanel and Dior are ALWAYS in style and you can go on poshmark or ebay and people are paying $500 plus dollars for the SAME STYLE of items I offered them. The truth probably is they just didn't have the money to offer me for my authentic items, or either their shoppers don't know what high end name brands are which surprises me being located in BILTMORE near The Ramble and the like...I simply walked away and sold my stuff on ebay for the appropriate amount and I suggest everyone else do the same. Read moreI have been shopping and occasionally bringing items in to this location for several years. The store is generally kept very clean, organized and good music playing. I understand this takes incredible effort, having been in retail for over 25 years. However, the last few times I visited, the staff seemed very tense, dramatic and discussing a lot of employee drama, that should truthfully be discussed out of customer reach. In addition, the last time I brought to sell, a lady went through my items and then Chip came up, loudly putting items back in my bin, saying he could "see those on clearance already". I 100% agree these staffers are well trained and know what sells. However, tact and professionalism goes a long way. As I shopped today, I was very surprised to find cheap items from Shein and Walmart on the floor and at double digit prices. Those don't seem to match the quality and it surprised me as my items they declined were much more sellable then those. I'll try again but I sure hope it improves. Also, if you are saying I have to go elsewhere for a restroom and then allow others in to use it, maybe you should allow a public restroom for buying customers. The other businesses don't want to clean behind customers any more then you do.
And to your respone response 5/29/24: As the store owner, your extremely unprofessional, defensive response, especially in regard to "listening " proves to me that your shop is poorly run from the roots up. Everyone in thats store could clearly hear the discussion at the front desk between employees, loud and clear. Just as the music playing, you hear it whether you choose to or not. Those private conversations should be held in a back room. Period. Don't accuse me of being nosey as you refuse to take ownership of the lack of professionalism...
Read moreI had such an unpleasant experience at this store today for multiple reasons. There were several employees working, none of which greeted nor acknowledged me when I walked in. They carried on conversations with each other and two female customers while I stood there waiting to ask if I needed to be let into a dressing room or if I should help myself to one. While standing there, I noticed they acted oblivious to not only me but several other shoppers in the store. Luckily, I was able to go into a dressing room that a lady left open as she came out. I wasn’t happy with any of my initial picks and asked an employee if she would mind if I grabbed a dress off the mannequin and told her I would put it back on if I decided against it. I did decide against it and put the dress back on the mannequin. I then pulled a dress off of another mannequin and tried it on. Again, I was unhappy with it. Up until this point I was okay with the fact that I apparently wasn’t good enough for the employees to conversate with. No sweat off of my back. But it was the comment about me made by a man behind the counter that was so disrespectful. As I was putting the second dress back on the mannequin he was talking to the two females customers and loudly said, “yeah, they try to be us”. Because I’m picking up after myself??? Nope, you are so wrong. I wasn’t trying to be you at all. I guess people show respect in different ways. So, to the man that made that comment about me showing a little bit of respect-I would like to thank you. Thank you for doing what you did today and saying what you said. You gave me a worthy story to tell my kids tonight with a perfect example of the type of person they don’t want to be...
