Do what you want, but I certainly won't be going back if I need another phone screen repaired. They fixed the screen ok, but apparently put on an aftermarket screen, not an Apple screen. They also told me I could have a protector put on for $30, but when I came back to pick it up it wasn't on yet, and when I reminded them they suddenly didn't have the $30 protector option anymore, just the $50 protector. Fine. I need a protector, so I let them put it on. I drove away, and only after I got home did I realize they didn't put my case back on. Fine, whatever. Honest mistake. Then, about 2 days later I started experiencing ghost touching. So I called to see about getting it fixed, and I brought up the fact that they had put a non-Apple screen on. Scott told me very confidently that they always make it very clear that there are two options: an after-market screen or an Apple certified screen. I explained that they did not give me that option when I was in. His response was, "we always make it very clear." I replied, "but you didn't this time." A third time this man adamantly declared that they ALWAYS make it very clear. It's a bold statement and it isn't true, because in this case they did not. I'm sure it was in the stuff I signed, and so I'm sure it's all very legal, but the way he responded lacked any clear training in customer service and was very off putting. He told me he was sorry but he didn't know what I wanted him to say, to which I replied that the apology was a start, but I just didn't appreciate the attitude. I kept it cool, but I'd much prefer someone own their mistake or acknowledge that it's possible they forgot to say something when I was in the store. I'm not the type of person to spend this much freaking money on something without considering my options. I let them upsell me on a more expensive screen protector because I don't want to go through this or spend the money again, for heaven's sake. So, again, do what you want, I'm sure all these screen fix-it places are upselling and slipping things into the fine print and putting the onus on the customer, but I'd rather go somewhere where people are a little less saucy and a little more concerned about their customers. When I told him I'd be writing a review, he said that's fine. I mean, I guess it doesn't matter when your store makes this much money, but seriously, I'd love it little...
Read moreI took in my galaxy 6 edge to CPR after a trip to AT&T, a call to Samsung and another trip this time to best buy. So I was using my phone, fully charged, then 10 minutes later nothing. I could get in to turn on at all. I went to AT&T, they plug it in, couldn't get it to turn on. They gave me the number to call Samsung. So i drive home to call from the house phone, AT&T reception is so bad in WNC we have to have a house phone. I call Samsung, this gets pretty bad, we walk through a couple different ways to reset with no luck. She asks if the phone is under warranty? i don't know. What is the EMEI number? i don't know. Can you remove the back cover to where the battery goes the EMEI is there? I didn't think that it was possible to remove. She said if you have a suction cup we can try, seriously. So after i told her i don't have a suction cup she suggested taking it to Samsung at Best Buy, happens to be across the street from the AT&T i was at earlier. The rep plugs the phone in, tries to restart, nothing. She asks have you had any repairs done to the phone? Yes i had the screen repaired. Who did it? CPR. I think she baited me into that, she goes into her rant on how they do bad work and that there is this other company who she knows personally does great work. Hmmm. Shes insinuates the work CPR did was most likely the cause so i have to take it them. I now go to CPR go through all the running around i did. They take the phone, couldn't determine the cause initially. They didn't want to have to keep me waiting so they gave me a loaner phone and said they would call the next day with an update. I asked if they could get me the EMEI number? They were yeah it's printed on the back of the phone im extremely small print, really, Samsumg didn't know that!! So after they try a few different things over the course of a couple days they find the issue, a loose contact for the battery. Total cost of repairs $0.00. So after a long story the moral is ake your phone to CPR first. Forgot to mention the tech who took care of me was Jessie. Thanks...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst customer service. Two gentlemen I initially dealt with were superb (Knox & Aidan). They installed an Apple watch screen protector for me. They opened the packaging, they installed the protector. Before I left the protector was already coming off, but I was told that I needed to give it a day for the adhesive to set. It didn't set. See pictures attached.
I came back the next day, to a different customer associate. I explained that I had been in the previous day, a staff member had installed the Apple watch protector, and that although there were initial issues, I trusted the staff member that I needed to give it time. Time did not resolve this issue. Unfortunately this screen protector does not work with the type of watch band that I prefer. No big issue, we tried and it didn't work. The current staff member I had to deal with immediately came across as argumentative, rude, and tried every way he could to not accept responsibility for a problem their own employee created! He initially tried to deny the return, then said I would charged a 15% restocking fee, then again tried to completely deny the return. After standing my ground it was finally agreed upon that they would return the watch screen protector, but still charged me a 15% restocking fee. This is ridiculous and why I'm leaving this review. I DO NOT recommend this business, they DO NOT stand behind the work of their own associated who 1 - opened a new product, 2 - installed it on my Apple watch which 3 - did NOT work and basically 4 - argued with me about accepting the return and 5 - still charged a "restocking fee" for a failed install that was their fault.
DO NOT use this CPR Cell Phone Repair shop of Hendersonville Rd in Asheville. DO NOT deal with a business that is willing to stand behind their own work/install and offer a full refund to their paying customer. I am still out 15% and made to feel like I did something wrong. Save yourself the money, time, and frustration and take your...
