I scheduled a 4:30 PM class today. Unfortunately, I was late to the class because I had to purchase a new phone earlier that day and my phone was in the middle of a transfer. I had to drive there with no GPS, and I couldn't call because my phone was transferring data.
I was 15 minutes late to the class, which I'm not saying is acceptable, but I already wasn't having a good day. I have been to multiple F45 locations (it was my first time at this location), and I'm usually on time, so I was not aware of any late policies, but I didn't want to pay a late fee, so I showed up to class anyway.
I walked in and the front desk didn't greet me, but instead said, "And you are?" I said "I'm sorry" and she repeated herself, "And you are? She then explained that I was too late to join, so she would have to ask the trainer if I could join. Because I didn't want to be disruptive, I said If you could just mark me as present for the class so I don't get charged a fee, I can just leave. She said she still had to ask, and it didn't matter. I said okay.
She went to ask, and I could see the trainer, whom I also recognized to be the owner of several locations, rudely telling her No, I couldn't join. She came back and said that I can join a later class or be charged a late fee. I told her I couldn't because I also had a meeting later that night. So I told her to just charge the late fee and have a great day!
I'm not writing this review because I believe I should have been accommodated, but I was dealt with so rudely for no reason. I was flabbergasted that I was spoken to in that way. This is not even basic customer service. This owner owns multiple locations. I will not be returning to ANY F45 locations since I can't confirm which ones he...
Read moreI recently joined F45 Training Upper Westside Atlanta in June 2022. The boot camp I was going to closed down and I needed another workout to complement my other weekly activities like playing basketball. My first class was with AC, a master trainer and coach. He was very nice, energetic, and made me feel welcomed right away. To top it all off, he is the perfect role model for living a sustainable and healthy lifestyle. In addition, the classes, which are ever-changing, are challenging. I never have to think about my workouts, F45 thinks about it for me. All I have to do is show up and get it in. The things I love the most about being at F45 Training Upper West Side Atlanta? I'm done with my workout in 45 minutes, the DJ on Saturdays gives me life, I get to workout with some amazing people who inspire me with their passion for fitness, and the fact that F45 finds creative ways to make working out fun and engaging (i.e., Bingo, team workouts, and more). I'm working on a second master's degree right now but when I'm finished with school, I'm going to increase the days I work out each week. If a person wants to spend more of their time working out, that says a...
Read moreOverall, decent experience but please be aware that this gym comes with a 30-day cancellation period. For some background, I use my corporate wellbeing subsidy to pay for this gym and require a receipt to expense items over $75 with my subsidy. I informed them that I would need this receipt every month and they said it would be no problem. We get new cards every December but I won't receive my new card if pending charges are on the other one. I had two pending charges from F45 that took two months to clear up. During this time they sent my past due payment to collections and charged me another $139 dollars for the cancellation period. So they received $278 due to their error mean while I never stepped foot in their gym since early Jan.
Feels very shady and like a money grab. Safe to say I will not...
