I knew I made a bad decision from the moment I walked in. The lobby smelled so musty, crusty and disgusting of strong body odor. I was about to ask if they had masks but from the way it smelled I knew better than to ask as I knew they wouldnāt have any. So I started shallow breathing to avoid getting sick. The guy at the front desk, whom I later learned is the ownerās brother was the absolute worst. Important to note they didnāt have me sign NO WAIVER.
Rude and unprofessional. He walked me to my room and didnāt say a word to me. Just walked me in, shut the door, and left. He didnāt say āhey your therapist will be with you in a moment, please undress from head to toe and go under coversā or any type of instruction! Could have offered me a water or if I have any questions.
The room itself was reminiscent of a basic 2 star motel room on a deserted highway. The vent on the ceiling was covered in dust and there was a hole in the ceiling.
The sheets were so old and tattered, literally with holes all along the seam. Iām deciding what to do, I canāt ask for a refund because I did ClassPass for this service so I was just going to stick it out.
My therapist came in and she saw some oil on the floor and came back to mop it up. All the while Iām just concerned that she touched a mop and was about to touch me. I didnāt see any hand sanitizer in the room or hallway but some Jergens lotion and a bottle that said āBody Soapā that they filled up with body oil.
So when I was already undressed on the bed, she came in and said there was a male client that was requesting a woman and because she was the only female masseuse in the building she had to ditch me to take the client and that a guy was going to take me! Though my appointment was first! So they deprioritized me, Iām almost certain because Iām a black woman and paired me with a guy who was just dressed in regular clothes. No scrubs or anything that he would be recognized as an employee. He didnāt speak English so when I asked him if he washed his hands, he had to go grab the front desk guy to translate. He got started and it didnāt feel like he knew what he was doing. Of course didnāt ask me if I had any problem areas. When I told him to stop, he kept going. He didnāt understand until I had to assert him to leave. They asked if I wanted to come back tomorrow, I refused to ever come back there again so I said Iāll wait for the female to be done. He told me it would be a 30 min wait it was more like 45min.
The massage was ok. However it wasnāt the deep tissue massage I came in for, I had to ask for more pressure a couple times. I also didnāt appreciate not being asked if I wanted my forehead massaged. I didnāt want anyone to put their hands on my face. The highlight was the hot stones she used for a moment and the hot towel to wipe the oil off my body. But even then I donāt think anything was sanitary.
When she was done she asked if I wanted tea or water. I asked for water. I went to the front to wait for her and was waiting for a couple minutes actually. I expected her to already be at the front waiting for me with water when I got dressed. I asked the rude front desk guy who was kicked back with his feet up with no shoes, where she was. When he got up to look for my masseuse he walked in front of me and I saw he had his hand dug into his pants! Like heās scratching his butt! I was shocked. Meanwhile she was busy packing up her stuff to leave right after me instead of finishing my service. Then asked me for a tip.
Please do not go here. Save your money. NOT a word Iām sharing is a lie, exaggeration by any means. I truly wish from the bottom of my heart this was an imaginary experience I was witnessing but unfortunately it was my reality.
Unfortunately I didnāt take ANY photos as I didnāt find it to be worth it. My original plans were to do a social media review but I would have been too embarrassed to post that I even came here. If I could give negative...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAVOID. Waste of time and money. I stopped by after work on Friday to get one hour foot massage. I was led to a chair and they brought in a tub of lukewarm water (which I thought was kinda GROSS) to soak my feet. I wait there for literally 20 min with my feet soaked in a batch of lukewarm water. A middle aged man comes in leaking of cigarette, starts foot massage. But there is absolutely no pressure. The guy was just rubbing my feet with no spirit. I asked: "could you please apply more pressure?" He dashes out of the room like he's irritated or something. A lady comes in and says "his hands hurt so he cannot apply any more pressure" Uh what? Why is he massaging in the first place then?? But their attitude was nowhere near being apologetic and acted like that's how it's supposed to be that somehow I didn't appeal and submitted myself. So he "rubs" my feet for 30 minutes and I'm thinking "i wanna go home" I told him "I'm gonna wrap it up" and he again dashes out of the room irritated. I come to the cashier paid for "one hour" service but here's next part: I didn't leave any tip because I was genuinely pissed by their service, attitude, and most of all, getting no massage. Seeing that I was about to leave with no tip, the guy yells sir! And taps the receipt yelling "TIP! TIP!" I didn't even want to explain so I said "tip for what?" He couldn't answer and again went "TIP! TIP!" I just stood there. He started to curse at me in Chinese. I left. I want them to know that if they want to take advantage of American culture of giving tips, then they better raise quality of their service to American level. Anyway. Poor service. Worst attitude ever. Bad hygiene....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to get 2 hours combo massage (1 feet & 1 body) For an 80 dollars price that is listed on the website. When I arrived I asked the front desk gentleman to confirm that the price, he stated that it was 80 dollars. However, when it came to the checkout, the price got boosted up to 90 dollars. I asked why it was 90, the gentleman stated that because I chose the deep tissue ( which I did, but only because the masseuse asked me while we are in the body massage room how would we like to have our massage ). He did not state at the moment that if I wanted a deep tissue, it would be 10 dollars more. I told the front desk man and what he only said was sorry and still charged me 90 dollars. I didnāt mind to pay 90 dollars, but I felt like it is unethical to not being straightforward with the price (I have asked twice before going in to the room to get the service). In fact, all the whole time, I only ask the masseuse to massage me only medium pressure. I have never encountered with this situation here before. I used to come here and asked for Jason who gave me better massage than the masseuse I had tonight and never charged me 90 dollars. I unfortunate would not return. I would rather go to the place that being straightforward with the price upfront. I am a good customer and I have always been. I respect everyone, every job, so I expected the business to respect...
