NEVER GET WAXED HERE! I’m so hurt by my recent experience with Hammond Nails in Chastain square. I have never in my life was burned with wax before especially not on my face! The tech Zoey Yang burned a big chunk of my upper lip and it still hurts not to mention how horrible it looks. My face is ruined and I am so embarrassed to show up at work. I felt the pain when she waxed me and mentioned it to her and her response was “no honey it’s just red” but it wasn’t, she literally burned me to the flesh!! As I get this service done monthly, I know for a fact my service was performed incorrectly. What truly upset me is the response from when I went in there the next day to talk to the front desk girl. She dismissed me as if it was nothing and said the manager would call me. Guess what? The manager DID NOT call me and shows the lack of care they have for their customers . They are a money making business and volume is all they care about. I stopped going to get my mani/pedi there a long time ago after seeing how quickly they turn you over to get you out the door not to mention, I’ve been cut before during my manicures and they are so rough. Back to waxing - Instead of being sympathetic to my horrific face, they dismissed me. I am so disappointed. They need to make sure they are cooling off the wax before applying it and that you only have licensed esthetician performing services. Lastly, the fact that the woman at the front desk was avoiding eye contact and decided to speak in another language about me while I was standing right in front of her is extremely inappropriate. This was so unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional.

I have been going to Hammond Nails the past few years and see Nina for my SNS manicures (I used to get gel but switched about a year ago). Nina is amazing. The very first time I saw her I told her how long I like my nails and ever since she always knows what to do and makes them look absolutely perfect. I’m super OCD so it’s relieving to have someone do my nails that must be as OCD as me 😁. I love her and hope she never leaves! Highly recommend Hammond in general. They are always busy but keep things moving quickly so no one is waiting long! I can’t stand a nail place where you wait for an hour to get your nails done or wait when you have an appointment. They’re very punctual. Also got a massage there while getting my nails done for the first time ever this week and came out feeling rejuvenated. Will most likely get a massage every time i go now LOL. Can’t say enough good things about Hammond on Roswell!

This shop runs like a well-oiled machine since they have several people there working at any given time. Eric is an expert artiste (chef's kiss), and did the nails in the photo, and though the colors didn't come out how I imagined, they're still cute. There was also an older lady whose name I didn't get who took her sweet time in my feet to get them just right (the best). I'd come back. One thing that was *different* is that they don't do different color powder acrylics here. They do a pink or white and then you choose a gel or regular polish color to go over it. Gel polish over acrylic is pictured. $60. Third tier (out of 4) pedicure with gel polish was also about $60. Eric added tax, too. For tips, they do cash, Venmo and cashapp.

First off... I want to say a very special, "Thank you." For all the employees at Hammond Nails. Thank you. I went to Hammond Nails just as of yesterday. I have not had my nails done for a very long time. Maybe once or twice here and there. Not enough to know any of the new things out there and designs you can do now a days. My MA took me to go get my nails done at Hammonds, as a special surprise for me. It was wonderful. Yes indeed. Once we walked in the door, we were greeted by two very nice young ladies indeed. They asked us what we would like done and were especially helpful to me and Ma due to many questions about the types of nails done and pedicures etc. Like I said. It has been a long time since I had my nails done. Let alone anything other than natural glossy coat and maybe a acrylic set maybe four times in my life or so. So you can imagine the questions. Hammond Nails does all kinds of nails. From manicures, acrylics sets, uv gels, gel x and something called Dips. Hehehe. I think I overwhelmed the girls with so many questions too. Lol and showing them photos of what I was trying to get done. They were so helpful to my Ma and me. Yes indeed. Ma had her a opaque manicure and a beautifully done french pedicure at once. She looked fabulous when she was done. Shoot, I had a wonderful young lady named Mrs. Zoey. When I'm telling you; yes Ma'am. Yes ma'am indeed. She hooked me up. Wow. Yes indeed. She did. My Nails are gorgeous. She made me feel so at ease even though I kept asking alot of questions and still could not make up my mind exactly of what I wanted. Hehhee... She helped me out tremendously. I showed her tons of photos and of course talked alot about the 90s looks...lol. While she explained the meaning of what gel x, uv nails and acrylic nails was. Man. Oh man. She hooked a girl up. Hehehe. Yes indeed. Mrs. Zoey at Hammond Nails thank you so much for the beautiful work on my nails. Yes indeed.

If you want your nails done right I'm yelling you; "Hammond Nails" in Buckhead off of Roswell Road is the place to go. They are very nice, very knowledgeable about there products and services, can answer all your questions and will help you find what will work for you on different nails and services they provide. Yes indeed. So if you want your nails and feet to have the, "Hook up." I highly suggest going to "Hammond Nails in Buckhead." Trust and believe, "You'll love it." ;) I...

The place always feels rushed and chaotic; both times my nail techs were eager to move on to the next person without explaining what/where to go next. I'm writing a review because my last visit (with Vivian, I think that's her name) convinced me never to return to Hammond Nails again. She kept upselling me these cuticle gloves saying my hands were dry, and after I said no repeatedly (she didn't understand), she got a lot rougher with my hands. I thought I was imagining it at first, but she pushed back my cuticle so hard that I was visibly cringing and my middle finger started bleeding. She didn't stop or apologize (more of a, "I told you your nails were dry. The rest will be like this.") and moved on to the ring finger. I reluctantly acquiesced and agreed to buy the cuticle gloves. She told me I made a good choice. What angers me the most is that she kept telling me how the gloves were good for my "dry cuticles," (reason for the bleeding), and yet, because she was in a rush, after she immediately put them on the gloves, she ripped off the glove fingertips. I thought the whole point was to let the cuticles absorb the oils? I read the back of the package and it said to let it absorb for 5-10 minutes - but in reality she let one hand sit for 3 minutes and the other never had a chance. I hate being upsold, but even worse, a false product because someone felt petty. In the end, I left the salon in pain, tears, and a vow to never come back. I don't get my nails done often, so it's a treat for me to go in and feel special, but that day I left feeling miserable and crying all the way home. I was not happy with how it looked either, probably because she was in a rush to get to her next person. While I will not be coming back, I did want to leave with two positive notes: I told the front desk and they offered a voucher and genuinely seemed to want to make it right (5 stars). I originally went because my neighbors all go here and really like it (5 stars). So maybe it was just a bad experience, but I would never advise a friend to go to a place that I wouldn't...

I left a 5 star review 2 years ago. But the last 2 times I’ve come here, I’ve been disappointed & I will not be returning. The pros are- they’ll get you in quickly, they have lots of techs. They also have lots of colors to choose from & the shop is very organized. The cons- the last pedicure I had was not done well at all. I had to come back later that day to show them. The same tech “fixed” it, but it was still an overall bad pedicure that didn’t last long AT ALL. (This instance and the one below are only a week apart- so the pedicure didn’t last long AT ALL. I mean it looked like I did my own feet after a few days.)

I received another pedicure on a different visit which was much better- she even used a tool that the previous tech didn’t use. BUT, it took FOREVER. My nails were done long before the polish even began. I told her for each foot that “It’s fine” for the lotion part bc she was taking so long. Each time I said something. She & the nail tech had something to say in their native language. I just feel if you’re so big & bad, say it in English. & stop being a coward about it.

I also got a fill in. Asked the tech if I could see the shape before she finished filing. She said once she’s finished. And when she did, of course I didn’t like the shape. That was the whole point of telling her to let me see it. The nails were so crooked & dull at the ends. I told her that, she tried to fix it but by this point they were ruined. At the end, I expressed my disappointment again. She tells me I should’ve cut them. I told her that had absolutely nothing to do with it because they weren’t even dull like that before the fill in. I normally get my nails done but techs that specialize in Acrylic nails, but I figured a fill w/ gel wouldn’t be too much to ask for. CLEARLY I was wrong. So I know for a FACT, it was the FILING that made them so dull. She even told me with the coffin shape that I shouldn’t cut them when we first got started. $80 wasted- minus the...
