Tacos and Tequila, nestled within the bustling Chastain Square shopping center by Publix, is a delightful haven for Mexican cuisine enthusiasts. Despite the busy ambiance of the shopping area, parking remains surprisingly convenient, ensuring a stress-free start to your culinary journey. As a regular patron, Mondays at Tacos and Tequila hold a special allure, drawing you in for a delightful lunch escapade. My go-to order, the chicken milansa, has indeed solidified its place as a star on the menu, courtesy of the bartender's recommendation. The tender, juicy fried chicken steals the show, complemented flawlessly by a medley of pickled carrots, cilantro, and vibrant purple cabbage. Opting for the cilantro lime rice over the standard fries adds a refreshing twist, elevating the dish's flavors to new heights. The surprising addition of a perfectly fried egg crowns this masterpiece, enhancing both taste and visual appeal. The seamless service and friendly ambiance further enhance the dining experience. The attentive staff, adorned with warm smiles, ensure that every visit feels like a personalized culinary journey. Their commitment to exceptional service consistently earns Tacos and Tequila an A1 rating, making it a top-notch destination for not just a delicious meal but a memorable dining affair. In summary, Tacos and Tequila at Roswell Road epitomizes the fusion of exquisite flavors, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Your penchant for savoring delightful cuisine in a friendly setting finds its match here, making it an unequivocal five-star dining experience, rich with flavors and warmth that keeps you coming back for more.

Please please never come here if you have a single ounce of self-respect. I usually frequent the Midtown location, but I decided to come here a few weeks ago since it's closer to me. My first mistake. I came with two friends for the happy hour we ordered our food and when we went to order our happy hour drinks the server was trying to gaslight us and tell us that they don't do happy hour drinks even though all the locations AND the website states they do. We pushback, she comes back around and we get our drinks. Shortly after we go to the restroom- we leave our plates of food, our drinks, our PURSES, and PHONES because obviously we are just taking a restroom break. We come back to our table being completely cleared........Also our server left without notifying us and we came back to a different server who we tried to explain the situation to, and she couldn't care if she tried. They replaced the trashed items but then still tried to charge us for it. HORRIBLE experience yet since I didn't learn from my mistake the first time around I came back. Today was the final straw. My friend and I came for the happy hour again, and we ordered the happy hour empanadas which are $5 for 3. The server tried to tell us we only get 2 empanadas in the lunch special, we explained that's not how its ever been anytime we've come, he disregards this and brings us the 2 empanadas each. My friend's chicken empanada was ICE COLD on the inside. Okay WHATEVER. When we get the check we see we got charged $8 for 2 empanadas??? How? The price difference is trivial but it doesn't add up? We tell the server and he brought his manager over and the manager fixes the check that CLEARLY shows you're supposed to get 3 empanadas for the $5 lunch special. The manager offers to get us the last empanada to go but at this point I'm so baffled at the inconsistency and lack of knowledge from everyone that works in this place. If management wanted to make it better they could have comped our tab. I even told the manager how we had a bad experience last time and my friend literally left a review too, and yet we still came again. They even told my friend to email them after they saw her review and then just ghosted her lol. Just save yourself the headache and go to the Midtown location. ALSO our server lied and told us that this was his 3rd day after he messed everything up which we knew wasn't true because we saw him here when we came 2-3 weeks ago. lol.

This was our first time eating here—didn’t dine-in but decided to try takeout and based off that experience, unfortunately, have no reason to try again. Extremely overpriced for what you get. Nachos were $22 and I received cheese that seemed to be all on the bottom of the nachos, absorbing the chips, leaving me with what seemed like a brick of soggy chips. It was completely inedible. Rather than put the cheese on the side so that wouldn’t happen, they put the dry toppings on the side instead. Didn’t make sense at all. To top it off, there were about 4 small pieces of steak. Happy to pay for quality, but I spent over $20 for a meal I couldn’t eat, with barely any meat. I also asked for an extra side of shredded cheese, which I am happy to pay for but at least give a substantial amount. I paid $2 for literally a pinch of cheese. Pictures of the above posted. I then decided I would just eat the queso we ordered that was supposed to come with warm tortillas…to find out they didn’t provide the tortillas. So, another $15 to not receive the full order. Lastly, hoping dessert would save the meal. We ordered the churros and bread pudding. Supposed to come with chocolate drizzle, caramel and a side of ice cream. Didn’t receive any of those toppings, leaving the desserts extremely dry. So again, paid for those items and didn’t receive everything we paid for. Extremely disappointed. Quality and prices aren’t there at all. We paid over $70 and were left hungry because nothing came as it was supposed to, complete rip off.

This was our first time here we loved the ambiance. Underwhelmed with the food. The only thing we loved was the deluxe cheese dip and chicken tortilla soup after adding salt and pepper. Sent back empanadas tasted like something was rancid and replaced with another deluxe cheese dip the Mexican corn is frozen not fresh and tasted like it we did not eat or ask to remove it from the bill. We would have come again IF it was not for the HORRIBLE service .1st we were asked to wait for 10-15 min for a table to clear and while waiting two sets of people came in and were immediately seated (walk-ins) not on the waitlist I was the only one waiting. To be fair the lady that told us to wait was not up there a young man came and took over but he should have looked or asked who was waiting. Then when seated the overall attentiveness of the overall staff felt racially profiled which is weird because they have a diverse wait staff but repeatedly noticed a difference in the service provided. We will try another location to see if the experience and food are different.

11/12/2021 update: As you can see below my review, they asked for me to reach out via email. I did just that on 11/01/21 and to this day I have yet to hear from them. This company does not care for its patrons and the neglect presented at its restaurants is an inspiration from their corporate level. This is very disappointing. Go eat at the Pho place next door instead. This place is very deceiving in their prices and it’s only out to rip you off. The managers will blame it on the fact that they must up cost you because of “distributor price and the fajitas make them no money”. Just because I order fajitas with everything and decide to share, it does not mean that the price should jump from $22 to $40. The portions of fajitas did not change ( saw the pictures online). Very disappointed and I don’t think I will ever come here again and will never tell anybody to ever come here.

A somewhat standard TexMex experience. The combo plates are much more limited, in the sense that instead of choosing combo #1-25, you just choose two items, and they will come with rice and beans (Sorry combo 11 fans). The food was good (I had chicken burrito, beef enchilada, rice and beans), the beer was reasonably priced, the chips and salsa were tasty, although the chips could be a bit thicker in my opinion. Service was fantastic, I sat at the bar and Sandra took great care of me. The rest of the staff seemed friendly as well. If looking for non authentic Mexican in Buckhead, this is a great option!
