What Type of Asian Restaurant Would Thrive in Atlanta's Buckhead?

I’m not one to get hung up on service but I just felt a weird vibe here that didn’t sit well with me. When my friend and I were seated first the server failed set us up with even a glass of water and/or utensils. I could tell he actually did set up another group first while we were still left without. He manages to place one set down for me almost as an afterthought without doing so for my friend. Still no water. I get fed up and just ask for it -no ice- only to bring it to us with ice. Even when they did bring the water back my friend’s glass still had ice in it. I don’t particularly care about having to ask for water but I did feel like the running theme here was a lack of organization or cohesion. Even for instance how the bánh mi is plated in this tiny plate. It means half my sandwich is falling out to the table and not my tiny plate. That would just be minor complaints but I felt the presentation was also really lacking. They don’t advertise a lunch special during lunch hours. They don’t seem to have a lot variety on the main menu itself and it seems pricey compared to the meal you’re receiving. I’d happily pay more if I felt like they nailed one thing really well but unfortunately I just came off underwhelming. It’s not bad food but don’t expect it to be unique or particularly great.

I visited friends in Atlanta and was referred to this restaurant. At first, I was very excited because there was a large and beautiful pho model to take pictures and check-in in front of the shop. Pho is under average quality, and I wondered whether it is Pho. The beef soup was very bland and tasteless. I don't know if they took it out of the fridge or cooked it fresh, but my bowl of Pho was not hot. This will be my last visit here with a high price and average to lousy quality. Sorry but this is sincere advice, if you want to eat Vietnamese food, especially Pho, don't go to this restaurant. I don't why I can rate 1 star in google review. You guys should focus more on customer service instances of trying to get negative reviews removed.

Seriously one of the best, top-quality pho I've ever had in the last 10 years! I lived in Seattle and New Jersey and had lots of phos, but this was by far the cleanest, most delicious pho! Their wings, spring rolls and beef stew (though a little too oily) were also really good, and the staff were friendly. Food comes out slow for a pho place, but it is worth the wait :) Portion is generous, and you don't find a clean, upscale pho place like this often. If you are a big fan of pho like me and care about sanitation and food quality, you should totally check this place out :)

I was looking forward to trying this in-town option. Since the mother company, Dai Loi, is outstanding, my hopes were elevated. Dashed! Really average and the service was subpar, for a slow evening. The menu is super limited. Our orders came out sporadically with little care for how much time passed between bringing all the main dishes to the table. Nobody in our party was impressed. With so many great Vietnamese options around town, this is a miss. While the food was not bad, you would be better served heading to Buford Hwy for the goods. I have no plans to return.

This place is the only one that I know in Atlanta where you can get a true vegan/vegetarian Pho. All other places that claim a vegetarian Pho use either fish broth or animal broth of some sorts. The broth here is result of over a year of hard trial and error R&D to nail just the most amazing flavor profile. Kudos to the chef and the team behind this dish, really great work delivering a much needed innovation in a traditional genre of pho. This alone is worth coming back over and over again not to mention their green papaya salad. I approve.
