My husband and I booked the BYOB spray paint activity last minute, and it turned out to be an incredible experience! The entire event was super organized, and the staff were fantastic at teaching us how to use the spray cans and stencils to create our own unique artwork. There’s plenty of inspiration available to spark your creativity, or you can come prepared with your own design idea. The best part? You get to take your canvas home, so create something you’ll be proud to hang up! The music selection was upbeat and diverse, adding to the fun and relaxed vibe of the session.
This is the perfect activity for a solo outing, date night, or a group hangout (just be sure to book ahead if you're coming with a group). The food hall right next door is a great bonus—perfect for grabbing a meal or drinks after you're done.
Helpful Tips:
Location: You’ll find it at the very end of the plaza, to the left of Costa Coffee and the food hall. Parking is available to the far left of the building, near a large dumpster right in front of the entrance. What to bring: It’s BYOB, so don’t forget your favorite drinks! What to wear: The studio has concrete walls and floors, which can get chilly in winter. You’ll be standing the whole time, so wear comfortable clothes. They provide aprons, gloves, and shoe covers to keep you clean.

Read moreWe did the spray paint and sip class on a Thursday night.
For people who had never used spray paint as a medium, this was worth the $40/person date night. The brand of paint they use is about $10/can, and their set up includes areas to practice as well as hanging spots for your canvas. I'd find this difficult to replicate at home for the cost, nor do I have the space. The tutorial was simple but included enough techniques for us to try out.
Only critique is that the canvases - while a reasonable size, since nobody wants to bring home a monster canvas - didn't take very long to finish. We took our time and completed them to our liking in about 45 minutes. The studio obviously knows this, so additional canvases are available for purchase ($20), as are tote bags ($30). I wasn't keen to pay another $20-$30, especially since two canvases (mine and my husband's) will be more than enough to display. I'd like to see the option to purchase an additional canvas or tote bag at a discounted price prior to the experience.
That being said, we had a fun time. I'd recommend this as a casual date night, as long as $40 per person isn't going to put too much of a dent in your wallet.
Lastly, props to whoever picked out the playlist last...

I don’t say this lightly—this place is a straight-up hidden gem in Atlanta! I came here to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be one of the most fun, creative, and energizing nights I’ve had in a long time.
From the moment we walked in, the vibe was 🔥—hip-hop beats, vibrant colors, and the smell of spray paint (don’t worry, it’s odorless and safe!) set the stage for an epic time. But what really made it next-level were the hosts. These guys are funny, engaging, and so down-to-earth. They hype you up, teach you cool techniques, and keep the energy high the whole time. I laughed, I sprayed, I vibed—and I left with a canvas I was actually proud of.
Even if you’ve never touched a spray can in your life, you’ll leave feeling like Banksy’s cooler cousin. They make everyone feel welcome, supported, and ready to let loose.
Whether it’s a birthday, date night, girls’ night, or just a reason to try something new—Studio W.I.P. is a MUST. Don’t think about it. Just book it. Trust me, you’ll thank...
