As a resident and local business supporter of this community, I was disturbed by the selective treatment my friends encountered at this establishment today. While some children were happily enjoying themselves, the manager singled out their family, causing discomfort and confusion. As I walked in looking to see the children I asked where they were and they said outside. It is dark and chilly out. After learning of the event, their family was left to take their children outside, although confused they were kind about this. Meanwhile, I saw other children were allowed to freely engage in playful activities as they waited for their food. I spoke to the manager trying to gain insight on the incident in case there was a misunderstanding and he said the children were all over the place and didn’t want them to get hurt but as I looked around other children were being children also, walking around the establishment.one could agree the same. One could also argue their perspective or attack parenting styles but the issue is that they were singled out. It is a weekday and families are out for dinner with their children and if children aren’t allowed that’s fine and if children are damaging the property or cause harm it should be addressed. But again, looking around seeing other children being children doing similar things I didn’t understand.
This experience highlights the importance of service providers being mindful of families during the holiday season unless there is harm or damage caused. We must remember that customers spend their hard-earned money to support local businesses and expect quality service. Managers play a crucial role in setting the tone for their employees and the overall customer experience. So to clarify, it can be addressed respectfully and not to one parent. Address all parents in the establishment. By prioritizing exceptional service and fostering a welcoming environment, we can create consistent and memorable experiences while maintaining the integrity of the establishments. It is our collective responsibility to provide fair and inclusive treatment to all families, ensuring they feel valued and respected. When people spend their resources and time, it should be honored. No longer are people accepting decent food and poor experiences. Let us advocate for conscientious and inclusive customer service, where every family's needs are considered and addressed. By doing so, we contribute to a thriving community and a business landscape defined by its commitment to exceptional...
Read moreI've been going to this place for years and have never had a bad experience until last night when one bartender accused me of stealing a can of soda out of their little drink fridge.
Maybe it's been too long since I've worked in the service industry, but when a customer with an open tab who just placed an order gets the attention of the bartender, holds up an item, and says, "This, too" one would assume they wanted to exchange money for the item. Instead, this poorly trained little man decided that he has to become G.I. Joe and prevent the theft of his soda.
To top off this dumpster fire with a little more fuel the floor manager (who either lives in a cave or was painfully obtuse) offers a pathetic non-apology during which he excuses this sub-par service by telling me that soooooo many people steal from their mini fridge.
Sorry, but that sounds like an establishment problem. Maybe move your fridge and stop proactively accusing people of theft. I don't think it's common practice for thieves to alert people they plan to steal from, but what do I know?
If grown men are so worked up about a 2$ can of Coke they must have bigger problems in life, to which I offer my condolences.
In the meantime, if you're planning on stopping by for a drink do yourself a favor and turn around to Monday Night instead where the bartenders understand the basic concepts of exchanging goods for money, the entire system of open tabs, and basic human decency. They also have amazing beer slushies without a side of condescending,...
Read moreWhat do you do when it’s a beautiful day in the city, you head to the West End area and beer hop. This review is for Wild Heaven West End Brewery & Garden, its located right off the west side beltline and also has a huge parking lot, you shouldn’t’ have any trouble finding a free parking spot if you’re driving. This area has several breweries so plan on spending a few hours here.
There is a large space inside for sitting with lots of windows and they also have a nice outdoor space with chairs and benches, lots of shaded space. When I went during a weekday you place your order inside but when I came on a weekend you had the option to purchase beer outside or go inside if you wanted more of a selection and to place an order for food. Yes, they also have a food menu here. I only tried the guacamole and chips, chips were tasty and guacamole was fresh with cilantro but it had a little too much lime for my taste.
You can purchase beer to go as well. If you’re not sure what you want then go ahead and ask for a sample. I had the Wise Blood and the ATL Easy Ale, I would order both again.
Prices are pretty affordable and the service is good. No complaints, I’ve already visited twice and plan on...
