The Auburn mall has been the host to a slew of unpleasant shopping experiences in my life, though today took the cake in a major way. It is February fifth and we are currently having a snow storm, there is already 4 inches on the ground at 9 am, with little to no effect in the clean up effort. the snow is still coming down and the news promises that this will double or triple by 5 pm. the state has advised that all non-emergency employees should remain home and that EVERY SCHOOL IN MASSACHUSETTS is CLOSED. yet the mall remains open, so, i had to drive in an employee who is a friend of mine (i wont say this persons name) so that they could get to work for a day with no potential sales. eventually, after battling the snow and the roads, we make it to the auburn mall to find that there is no sufficient parking, the lots haven't been plowed, and what has been plowed is just being pushed into a giant pile that is obstructing a main drive-way in the front of the main entrance to the mall. there is no safe place to drop off the employee and no real safe way to get out of the parking lot once you have managed to get in at all.
The mall thinks that it is safe to shop? it isn't even safe to park.
The inside of the mall is SOAKING WET, with only "slippery when wet" signs placed at the main entrances so as to avoid liability when one of the employees eventually slips and hurts themselves. I say employees because they are the only ones who feel any inclination to endanger their own lives to get to this god-awful place.
As you might imagine, the employees are not happy that they have to drag their sorry-selves through the increasing snow and misery outside because of a mall that refuses to shut its doors, even if for public safety.
Needless to say, the shopping experience is less than desirable today.
this is not a one-time-thing. this has been a consistently ongoing issue. they remain open, not because of a belief that people will arrive to shop, but because if they do remain open they can charge the businesses that rent from them for that day, whether or not the business remains open, thereby forcing business owners to choose between the safety of their employees and the sustainability of their business. this immoral practice was brought to their attention via their facebook, but the comments and criticisms remain censored.
A terrible business, with a terrible owner. any other mall in Massachusetts vastly outweighs this one in terms of store availability, options, customer service and food and general accessibility. i wouldn't shop in this miserable building with a gun to my head. I'd prefer the sweet release of death, thank you very much.
highly recommended if you are some sort of discontented masochist.

Read moreThe Auburn Mall, located in Auburn, MA, is a decent shopping mall with a good variety of stores. It's conveniently located near major highways, making it easily accessible. However, it's not without its drawbacks. Pros: Variety of stores: You'll find a decent mix of popular retailers and smaller shops, offering a good range of products and services. Convenient location: Situated near the intersection of the Massachusetts Turnpike and I-290/I-395, it's easy to get to from surrounding areas. Clean and well-maintained: The mall is generally clean and well-maintained, providing a pleasant shopping environment. Ample parking: There's plenty of free parking available. Cons: Outdated: The mall could benefit from some updates and renovations to modernize its look and feel. Lack of anchor stores: With several anchor stores vacant, it feels a bit empty and lacks the draw of a major shopping destination. Limited dining options: While there are some food options available, the selection isn't as diverse as some might prefer. Can get crowded: Weekends and holidays can see larger crowds, making it less enjoyable to navigate. Overall: The Auburn Mall is a decent option for a quick shopping trip or to run errands. It offers a decent variety of stores and is conveniently located. However, it's not the most exciting or modern mall and could benefit from some updates and revitalization. If you're looking for a more comprehensive shopping experience with a wider range of options, you might consider exploring other malls in the area. Recommendation: If you're in the Auburn area and need to get some shopping done, the Auburn Mall is a convenient option. However, if you're looking for a more modern and exciting shopping experience with a wider variety of stores and dining options, you might want to consider other malls...

As a frequent visitor, I truly value Auburn Mall and the convenience it provides to the community. However, I’ve noticed that foot traffic and energy could be improved with more diverse food and retail options. Many shoppers in our area go elsewhere for variety, so Auburn has a real opportunity to bring people back with exciting new tenants.
