Cons: It's expensive; but that is compared to the other gyms in town where you can spend $20 and work out on your own. I will say, however, you get what you pay for.
Pros: (Oh so many to list, but here is a few) -This works! You will see results and you will see them quickly if you follow Ike's suggestions and directions -Ike's guidance is invaluable. I have had personal trainers in the past and he is far and beyond better and any I have had. His knowledge of how the human body moves and what it needs to be functional is so spot on. -The small sessions are great! I have social anxiety and am an introvert so I absolutely hate working out in large groups. The smaller class sizes are perfect. -Everyone that attends the gym is supportive of each other and helps each other. It's a great group. -Honey and Wyley are wonderful! -There are always activities that motivate you to keep going and to push further in your exercise goals.
Here is my personal journey, if it at all matters in this review (lol). I have always been physically active and in shape. Then I had my second child and work was too busy. I began trying to get back in shape then COVID hit and I began eating and drinking all my feelings (like everyone). After six months of COVID, and two additional waist sizes, I focused on getting back in shape; buying an expensive exercise bike and all the equipment I could get at the time. After daily, multi-hours of working out for about six months did not see any changes. Once my family was completely vaccinated, I decided to signup for Metrics. I am not writing this review because it has been six months of being a member.
Here are my losses: 3% body fat; 16 inches over my entire body; 6 inches on my waist specifically; 10 lbs. total; constant hip, shoulder and back pain.
Here are my gains: strength in my back, chest and shoulders; knowledge of how to release tension over my entire body to reduce the cumulative injury cycle; strength in my heart and lungs; an exercise community that helps me hate exercising less (I really hate exercising); an exercise and eating routine that I can stick to and that is achievable; a better outlook on me!
So, to summarize, just join! It is worth it and you will love yourself for making this...

Ike is focused on helping every one achieve their fitness goals and makes every session at Metrics challenging (& some how fun). My fitness has increased noticeably and I have seen improvements in my ability to complete more core exercise reps, lift progressively heavier weights, and generally push myself harder throughout each session.
I actually look forward to my workouts....
IMPORTANTLY: Ike assures that my techniques are always correct to avoid injuries. -He knows how to motivate and encourage while understanding limitations tailors sessions to meet specific rehabilitation needs Ike clearly puts a lot of time into designing the sessions which are full of variety. -He has a thorough understanding of how the body works - you are guaranteed to work up a good sweat.

Read moreI started at Metrics Fitness Lab when I signed up for the 6-week Get Fit Challenge. The commitment was scary to me. I work full-time, have a family, and to top it off, it had been years since I had been in a gym. I would go through short periods of trying to “get fit” but I could never really stick to a regular schedule, so I never had great results. This experience changed my entire perspective on health and fitness. The meal plans were so easy to implement, and I found myself excited to go to my workouts. With the smaller class sizes, it becomes like a little family. You get to know the people you work out with and they begin to support you through the challenge. After the 6 weeks were over, I was so proud that I was able to sustain something for that long and the results have kept me coming back month after month since.
