Planet Fitness — Attraction in Auburn

my overview of this gym as i have worked out here for a little while now comparatively too other planet fitness gyms around is a poor one only friendly staff are night crew “during over nights” i tried to cancel my membership an it never went through so now i owe money too you guys for a gym i didn’t even use. decided too come back because you continued too charge me after. and was wasting money after. talked too multiple day staff about it an they didn’t do anything what so ever. now after paying my monthly fee am not allowed too work out until i pay back past due that i canceled for. the water fountain filter hasn’t ever been changed too this day still it’s been 3 - 4 months now showers were down for weeks at a time an theirs so many tread mills it makes actually lifting weights impossible you will be constantly waiting for a machine too be done to for some kid too jump on it the second it’s free before you even have time too respectfully let the last person finish if you want judgment free go too a real gym, planet fitness has the most hateful people not just at this gym many many others too between ego lifting an side eyes you’d never imagine anywhere else. a real gym would treat anyone better, yes theirs slamming weights an bigger fellas but all of those fellas would be the first people too help you learn or even save your life without even knowing you. planet fitness prices are good but this is a factor of you do in fact get what...

The physical gym itself is a lot better after the remodel. The staff, however, is making me rethink my membership. First, there was the staff member accusing me of stalking women at the gym, who I informed yeah sorry no I'm gay I've never stared at a woman in my life. Then there was the staff member who pointed me out to some chick's boyfriend so he could accuse me of stalking his girlfriend and threaten me in the middle of the gym. And this morning there's the one that decides he's going to harass me that I need to set down a handle on machine more gently at the end of a set. Bro, do you understand what "failure" is or why all these machines have safety stops on them? Hint - it has nothing to do with not disturbing you at the front desk when maybe you shouod, idk, pick up the abandoned water bottles, refill the paper towel dispensers, or put the free weights and dumbbells people have just left lying around back where they go. I've been going here for a year and a half, and suddenly in the last month this place wants to act like I'm some problem customer? Why is nothing ever said to people carrying on cell phone conversations while sitting on equipment, or tying up three and four pieces of equipment at a time, or the teenagers horsing around on the floor? I go out for surgery in March, hopefully when I'm able to resume working out the Lewiston location will open and this bullshit will not...

UPDATE 3/19 Things are improving a bit.

1/19 It's open 24hrs but only FOUR DAYS A WEEK. They close at SEVEN PM Saturday and Sunday which if you're a gym goer you know this is absolutely absurd. Also they will give you grief and vocally rush you if you are there right up till 7... Peak times are crazy stupid crowded, they seriously need more free weights and cables... I highly doubt they have any plans to do so... I have been assoc with PF for 13yrs and have never head the "lunk alarm" sounded; I've been at this branch for 3 months and it has been sounded FIVE TIMES!! Makes me feel like I'm working out at an elementary school cafeteria. Many of the gym members NEVER rerack their weights and often wear too much fragrance and there are automatic air freshener things in the locker rooms and the workers also walk around spraying febreze in the air; this all makes it hard to breathe during peak times. The men's showers are frequently out of order and there is often standing water in the floor bc the handicap shower curtain is too long. I've given feedback on a a few things and nothing ever changes. Also the music is very terrible. The only reason I keep a membership is bc it's only $20/month and tanning is included, but there's dead bulbs...
