Panera Bread has been the one semi consistent restaurant that my daughter and I would go each Friday. Now I'm the kind of guy who gets stuck on the same choice of meal however i did open myself to other soup options a couple of times.
I tried the Tomato soup and was very satisfied with the choice. A Delicious soup with added veggies. I tried the Vegetable soup and found this one quite tasty as well. A very hardy dish. The French onion soup was more "so-so" for me. I'm a bit picky when it comes to this particular soup. The flavor was there but it just didn't hit it for me. My main go to soup is the (you guessed it) Broccoli and cheddar, Though i will say that back in the day this soup was more on the thicker side and you got more of it. I still go for this dish and my tuna sandwich. I feel the two work very well with each other.
The sandwiches here at Panera Bread are very good. Some sandwiches come with different breads. For example, My daughter likes to get the Mediterranean and it is made with a tomato bread. It comes with a hummus spread but she is able to have that switched out for her beloved Chipotle sauce.
Rarely have i seen this restaurant too crowded though that could be because my lunches there tend to be after the noon rush. I don't find any issues with the service there and the tables are usually clean and free of crumbs. Panera offers some unique fruit drink options, sodas and iced teas. They serve coffee as well and have a variety of options.
As for the prices i feel that since they have gone up my soup has gone down in the served bowl amount. For two of us doing the "pick two" option consisting of a bowl of soup and half a sandwich, a fountain drink and this comes with a choice of a side between an apple, chips or a slice of baguette, For all of this we pay around thirty bucks. This may work for some and may not for others. I cannot say with other options as i haven't ventured too far into what Panera offers.
I don't eat there as often as i once did but i get those cravings and still make an appearance. I enjoy the restaurant and the food there and as of writing this review i am making a mental note to see what other tasty options are available and put aside that Broccoli and cheddar soup...
Read moreI work across the street in the Auburn Mall, and I occasionally come to this location for my lunch break. However, almost every single time I have ordered from this location, I have not received what I ordered or have had another issue. While I understand that the food industry is fast paced and folks can be forgetful, their poor service is not an exception, it is the rule. Over the last month alone I have had these issues:
Hair in my macaroni. I opened the lid and stirred. It was not mine. (Pictured below.) Today, I ordered a Tuna Salad Sandwich and received a potato salad sandwich (?). (Pictured below.) My order was stolen off of the pickup shelf. I understand this is not something staff can fully control, however, I feel as if there should be some verification system in place for Rapid Pick-Up. A staff member quickly remade my order, but I ended up only having about 15 minutes to get back to my workplace, and eat. Multiple occasions where my side was incorrect or not included at all. Multiple occasions where my food was made incredibly sloppily, and couldn't pick it up to eat it because it was falling all over the place.
While most would simply turn around and head back inside to inform staff about these errors, I can't. I'm on my lunch, which is usually limited to 15 minutes to half an hour. I simply don't have the time. However, I feel that the Rapid Pick-Up customers shouldn't have to turn around and ask for corrections-- it is called Rapid Pick-Up for a reason.
I don't take any pleasure in writing this review, as all the staff I have interacted with at this location have been friendly, kind and understanding. They are doing their best to deliver me my lunch, and make my experiences there pleasant, but they continually let me down when it comes to my actual meal.
I am simply writing this in the hopes that someone at this location will see it, and improvements...
Read moreI went to the store to pick up a group soup for a side. The food I have had is always good. I stood at the counter for almost 10 minutes while the "shift supervisor" (same woman I watched walk in on her cell phone, walk behind the counter and clocked in at the register and still didn't ended the call) stood 15' away from me. Saw me standing at the counter but stood with her back to me and continued talking to a coworker, a guy from the back walked by but due his earbuds he couldn't hear me asking for help. Finally I walked to the other end of the counter where plates were piling up because buzzers weren't being set or they weren't triggered and the girl setting the plates didn't even call out the name loud enough and I was standing right at the pick up area and still ignored. Finally I walked down to the 2 girls still chatting and asked if I could please get my order in pay and go? Earlier service while waiting for tires was a great staff. What...
