What an incredible music venue! A true hidden gem of the suburbs! Parking was free and entry was a breeze! The flow of the venue is really great too, you can see the stage from just about anywhere! I went for the first post-COVID opening night show with the legendary REO Speedwagon and could not have been more pleased with the venue choice and unforgettable atmosphere. The local food trucks on hand offer a variety of food from the usual snacks to fresh bbq and more. Oh and the domestic 16oz cans priced at only $6 , with a nice list of quality cocktails and liquor priced equally as impressive for a concert venue! Being used to paying stadium and Chicago venue alcohol prices, the very fair drink prices at RiverEdge Park was a great added benefit. The sound, lighting, and staging are brand new and state of the art. The sound carried well through the venue from the back to the very front standing room only section I was in. REO put on a stellar performance and it was only fitting to have their first live show in over a year be right here in their home state of Illinois! For being the first night back to live concerts the venue, parking and security staff were on point all night and very friendly. I absolutely will attend many more concerts at RiverEdge. Make sure you take a walk across the brand new massive pedestrian bridge for spectacular views...
Read moreThis was my 1st time visiting this place even though I only live 8 miles away. Parking right across the street for just a few dollars & literally walking across the street & into RiverEdge Park was quick & perfect. As we entered we were screened to make sure that there would be no trouble at this area & it was a good feeling to move on quickly. As we walked in there was a small line to receive wrist bands for alcohol consumption. It took less than 2 mins & we were on our way to the Beer Stop. Short line & we had a cold brew in hand. As we walked toward the venue we were greeted by a warm smile & a willing to show us where our reserved seating could be found. We found our seats in less than 5 minutes, we were ready for the show to start. The acoustics sounds & closeness & friendliness makes this guy want to come more often. It was a perfect night for a few beers & a Live Band playing yesterday's music that this guy grew up listening to. Again, the distance & the sound for a more than reasonable fee was well worth the admission price. The seating was comfortable, but who can sit down when your pumped up for the show. My Only complaint,,I wanted more. It started at 8pm, even though doors opened at 6 ,,, but by 10 it was over. Still,, worth the money. I'll see...
Read moreJust went to the Willie Nelson concert on 6/25/16. The performers were great. The first row of seats in the sitting section are not good when the standing room only area s full as you can't see. There is a walkway in between and people are always trying to stand in the walkway even thought they are not supposed to. Outside of 1 younger guy, all the rest of the security guys in the red shirts are a joke. One guy did nothing but hit on the girls and take photos of the concert. There was one guy in a red bandana that when we asked if there was something he could do to get the people out of the walkway he just shrugged and said there was nothing he could do. The other security guys would look at the people in the walkway and just keep walking doing nothing. The one guy that was doing his job was doing a great job getting people out of the walkway and even telling the other security jobs what they needed to do but the other guys were useless. A couple just seemed to be walking around like he has no idea what his purpose was. I highly recommend evaluating the security guys in the red shirts and getting rid of most of them and replacing them with people that would actually...
