Such a cute workshop. It was overall a really nice and fun mug making experience! The lady that gave us the demo was very gracious even though we went over our allotted time frame. My reason for the 4 stars: We finally got our mugs but I was a little disappointed. Mine has cracks along the handle, which I think they did say could happen. I wasn’t, however, really given any instruction on what to do next or how to fix it, they were just given to us without explanation. I think that was my main problem, but I would definitely come back for another pottery session.

I love this place. Friend Assembly is great for both kids and adult classes, my family has taken both. I’m so impressed with the quality of instruction (and this is nowhere near my first ceramics class) and focus on techniques and exploration. Sarah is fantastic with kids too, mine always want to go see her, and my husband and I can sneak in a lunch date while they are taking a class. These are pics of their super hero sculptures before firing (kids age 4 and 7 made these). Plus, there’s a shop full of awesome ceramic stuff, prints and gifts. Check it out!

This studio was amazing to work at! They provided me all the time I needed to make an amazing teapot, and they were very helpful throughout the whole process! I started pottery a few years ago and this place really worked well for me. Whether you are a experienced potter or just a family looking to give it a try, I recommend friend assembly!

This studio is so beautiful and fun! I have been to two other beginner courses in Denver at other locations and the standout here in my opinion is Nathan, our instructor. I've found in beginner classes the teachers are so advanced that it is difficult to relate to where the students struggle or they don't break down the steps enough to help understand. Nathan is truly gifted in his teaching methods and makes sure that you understand the why behind how you work with clay and then ensures he is supporting you every step of the way. He made the class so fun and educational and by the end my friends and I were saying we couldn't wait to take more classes with him. Do yourself the favor and take a class with him. If you have never done this before this is without a doubt the studio and the instructor to...

We recently attended a Give The Wheel A Spin workshop with Becky for a different type of date night and it far exceeded expectations. The studio is stunning and our instructor Becky was fantastic. She immediately created a space that was lighthearted, welcoming and funny. Most of the students in our class (including us) had little to no experience with wheel throwing and Becky reminded us it's not that serious - while gently and supportively assisting us so each person left with two of their very own pottery pieces! Loved it so much I'm considering one of their adult classes to build on this new hobby.

Bonus: You can order a drink from somewhere within Stanley Marketplace and bring it up to the studio to sip while you work. We capped it off with a dinner at Boychik for a...

Friend Assembly is the first place I've found that has open studio time, they fired pieces for me that I hadn't made there, AND everything is reasonably priced. I spent a little less than $40 to fire, glaze, and fire my pieces again. That's SUCH a good price compared to the other place I found. Sarah responds quickly to emails and overall the entire process has been smooth and lovely. I hope to sign up for some of their classes in the future because they look like such fun. I'm giving this place four stars because there was a mishap where I was told I could come in on a day but then my info wasn't put on the calendar. The staff handled it pretty well but it was...
