So far, my favorite course. Played yesterday, super fast greens, probably the fastest greens I've played on. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Some divots on the green from earlier players not fixing their divots. My only complaint, and seems to be the norm for public courses around Denver is the sand traps are packed sand. Really have to make sure you commit to powering through a shot out of the sand more than you would have to if the sand traps weren't so dense. Pace of play was good, only bunched up the last 3 holes or so. No drinks cart on the course the day I played, Thursday, not sure this is usual, but plenty of water coolers to refill you bottle with cold water.
If not for the dense packed sand traps, and there's plenty of them around the holes, and lack of a drinks/snack cart I'd give it 5* for a...
Read moreThis course has a fair price point, it's well kept, and has a diverse layout BUT I recently played this past Tuesday after work and had to find shelter after teeing off on the 5th hole to let a series of storms pass through. By the time the storm passed it was too dark to continue. My playing partner and I tried to go to the pro shop for a rain check but they were closed. I called today only to be told that because I had tee'd off on the 5th hole they were unable to issue me a rain check. I've NEVER come across this policy before and is a terrible business practice in terms of customer service. At the very least I'd expect a prorated greens fee for a future round. Nope. Nothing. VERY...
Read moreMeadow Hills is a great old traditional tree lined course. I have played it since 1982 and by far it is best golf bargain in Denver. The city however or more to the point the golf administration is out of step by holding off allowing carts back on their courses. The entire golfing community with the exception of Aurora has figured out that carts do not increase the opportunity of contracting Covid 19. I'm 72 and have difficulty walking the course any more so a cart is necessary for me and many of my fellow golfers to enjoy the sport we hold so dear. Let's catch up Aurora, I'm sure you could use...
