Let me first start this review off by saying that the product itself seems to be just fine.
I first went to Austin Cell and Tablet Repair on Monday, January 1st. They let me know that they were out of stock of iPhone 14 pro screens and the gentleman indicated he would attempt to put the order in that day and hopefully have it for me by Wednesday.
Tuesday passed and I heard nothing from them. Almost the entire day Wednesday passed and I finally heard from them around 5 PM. The gentleman let me know that the vendor was still out and he didnât have a screen for me. I was not bothered by this, as I understand that this was out of his control.
My frustration, and the reason for my three star review, comes from their failure to communicate, and adequately provide service in the following days.
Thursday passed and I heard nothing from them. Friday passed with no call. Saturday passed, and Sunday as well. They never contacted me to update me on any status regarding my new phone screen, even though they had taken a $100 deposit.
On Sunday I called and left them a message, I knew they were closed that day so I wasnât not expecting them to answer I just wanted to ask if they could please call me on Monday when they arrived in the office.
After waiting a couple hours on Monday, I had not heard from them, so I gave them a call myself. At first they seem confused and did not know what I was talking about, again they had already taken a deposit and had told me multiple times they would order this replacement screen. Finally, the guy was like âoh yeah, I know what youâre talking about, I will text my vendor and see if they have any screens.â.
This was a course frustrating to me as it was over a week since he was supposed to have put the order in. At this point, I did call another company who said that they could have my phone fixed in an hour, but since I had paid the $100 deposit, I didnât want to lose that money so I figured I would give them another day to hopefully sort this out.
I gave it a couple hours and then called back to ensure he had contacted his vendor, the gentleman said he was able to contact his guy and that they had some in stock and he would put the order in that night for one.
Thankfully, they did get the replacement screen in the next day, but said that they were pretty busy so it would take two hours to replace it.
To reiterate, I am not upset that the vendor did not have a screens for them. I just wish that they had been honest with me, communicated, and seemed to make more of an effort to actually get the screen in (without me hounding them), especially after they had taken a deposit that would limit me from going other places. Especially given that the other stores could have had it fixed in an hour.
Iâm not someone to leave negative reviews, and I think Iâve only ever left one negative one before. However, I do want people to understand that they might have to do a bit of hounding in order to get the job done here if the product...

Donât go this place. Thereâs a chance that youâll use your phone.
I requested software repair on my galaxy s8 on â24th Octoberâ and Cory (guy works at the shop) told me he would contact me soon.
He didnât contact me as he promised, so I contacted Phil (tech guy) on â4th Novemberâ, and he told me their software guy backed up my phone so he would check the date when I can pick up.
I went to the store on â5th Novemberâ and talked to Cory, but he figured out my phone was still not repaired. He told me he would send me an email on â7th November.â
I realized it might take a long time so I was just waiting for them to contact me.
However, they never contacted me for over a month. I called them on â13th Decemberâ - as I was super busy with my life and they promised me to contact me - But Phil told me he doesnât know if thereâs still my phone, and they might sold it for $ to cover repair fee. He said he sent me an email multiple times, BUT IâVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY. So I asked him to send me a proof that they send me any emails about my phone. Phil told me he will and he will contact me on afternoon, but it never happened. He havenât contacted me until now, 17th December, and I know they wonât.
So please, find better place other than this one if you donât want to lose your phone. They will sell your phone by not contact you for over a month if they canât repair it.

   Read moreI do not recommend using this particular place I was cheated out of money for my phone I was lied to on the phone about the price that I would be given for a iPhone then again in person lied about the way the phone would be sold I was completely hustled even after loyal service as far as coming back to this shop for help and referring others to the shop I will never refer anyone to this shop again they are despicable and cheaters I am a mother of five even with the manager knowing my situation he hustled me for $35 on a iPhone 6 plus with no damages including a phone case at the time I had no choice because I was in a terrible situation no diapers and just a desperate need for help and he took advantage of that entire situation and I'm sure he made a whole bunch of money off of my phone stating he would only get $5 because of the carrier was only able to take two carriers and that was a complete utter lie I am mortified at the treatment I received and I cannot believe I have given them so much money in the past for broken phone broken screens it will never happen againand I can only pray with this post that they did not get the business they do not deserve it at all and I can't believe I referred so many people to this place that cheated me word to the wise if you are in a situation of need do not let someone cheat you out of what you deserve...
