Location itself is pretty good for launching kayaks on this stretch of Lake Austin/Colorado River. Parking isn't great. You might end up walking your kayak really far, and there's alot of oblivious people you'll have to watch out for. There's a certain fatigue-inducing demographic that is too ready to escalate any interaction into racial drama. Excellent launch for small boats/kayaks etc. without having to go all the way down to I35 launch. Watch out for joggers, bikers, mall walkers, and hop-scotchers if you are backing your trailer or vehicle down as it crosses the trail. Parking can be crowded, but you can overflow along the road.
