Grime Time Dumpster Rentals - Austin — Attraction in Austin

Until now I have never had a problem with Grime Time. First they delivered a dumpster that was not empty. I called to have it picked up 5 days early but the said the dump was running behind so they had to pick it up later. Then charged me for 2 extra days!! My tractor front end loader could only put waste towards the middle but the sides were way below top so figured it would shift and not be high in middle. Then it rained so things got soggy and the weight I guess became heavier. They double my price!! I don’t believe it was as heavy as they said. 850 for 5 days for 20 yard?? Outrageous. Sent photos and complaint and owner wrote back that he would take off the $20 for the extra 2 days that was their mistake. And said he would take off another $70 because it did rain quite heavily. That is still not good enough and after referring all my workers and coworkers I’m afraid I can no longer use them or recommend them. I’m so dissatisfied and disappointed.

And to now add to this story, They charged me $849.00 TWICE!!! I brought it to their attention and they demanded they did not. I had to write the owner to make the horrible extra charges go away. I ordered a dumpster online for a weekend house project. I called and confirmed my order the day before it was supposed to be delivered. I asked what time would it be delivered. They told me they wouldn’t know until it was placed on one of the contractor’s routes (which is understandable). The day comes for the dumpster to be delivered, I couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone. They called me back at the end of the day and told they had no record of my order (even tho I requested it online). I tried to order a small dumpster but the lady I spoke with told me they usually send a bigger dumpster for house projects and proceeded with the buying process. I told her I didn’t need a big one and she continued to “recommend” a bigger one. I told her that I was going with another company. The other company had it delivered the same day.

Update: A Grime Time employee called me and told me that they wanted to change my opinion of them. They had a dumpster delivered quickly (within 2 hours). The staff were so sweet, you could really tell that they wanted to fix things. And fix things, they did. I’m glad I decided to give them a second chance. They did not disappoint. Thank...

At the beginning, everything went great. Their price beat every other company around. They showed up with the dumpster on the day they said they would. However, I called the day before the scheduled two week pickup to extend our rental for two more days. I actually spoke to the receptionist, and she entered my request in their computer. The next day, I even received a confirmation of my request to extend our time for two more days. Guess what? They showed up two days early to pick up the dumpster.

You may be wondering why I am giving this company five stars. They went above and beyond to rectify the situation. The next day, they delivered another dumpster for free, AND told us to keep it until we were truly finished. Usually, you have to pay a daily fee after the initial two weeks. But I offered at least two times to pay the $10 per day fee, and the owner said "no" it was free. I can't say enough good things about this company. I would highly recommend these...
