First, the barista was very knowledgeable, relaxed, and yet surprisingly quick. The coffee today was their Brazil blend. The image is a few sips into a latte. Took me back to one of my favorite coffees I'd get in a monthly commute to NYC 6 years ago, a place called birch coffee in the Flatiron district. Oh man. So good! The barista said they go through a different blend each day. Whatever they have on hand at the time. So the experience will vary, but you can probably expect to be happy. Again, she was so knowledgeable, and she has your back.

Figure 8’s second location is a dream space. The best coffee in the business and you know it comes from wonderful people and owners who truly care. The baristas are all very friendly and knowledgeable. The shop has an incredibly calm and peaceful vibe makes you want to stay all day! Thank you for your wonderful gift once again to this city! Truly appreciate you being in the neighborhood.

Figure 8 was awesome - the baristas were both super friendly and made some bomb drinks too. The cortado and iced latte were excellent and very worth ordering. Plus it was a great place to just chill and work for a while, the decor was cozy and the vibe was chill. Soft lights, soft chairs, and soft music. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Austin.

The coffee and pastries were delicious. The kouign-amann was just the right level of sweetness, and complemented the cappuccino perfectly. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that one of the baristas was a bit impatient from the moment we walked in. I don’t know if he was having a bad day, or just expected us to know the menu, but we caught a bit of exasperation from him. It made an otherwise positive experience slightly uncomfortable. Looks nice, very sweet ladies helping with service. Very welcoming.

No restroom sign so I didn't know if there was a restroom for customers.

Does not accept cash. So card only people.

I asked another customer if they would pay for the drink and I would pay them the cash with a tip. Person refused. Don't know if that's the kind of people I want to hang out with.
