I don't usually write reviews and hate writing bad reviews but I felt that something should be said of my experience a few days ago.
I went into the Flagship store excited to shop. Having been a previous employee of a Kendra Scott store I know a lot about the products and deals offered throughout the year. I came into the store with the intention of using both my 25% off and 50% off Birthday discount. I have a few Fine Jewelry products from Kendra Scott and have raved about their quality so was excited to purchase another item with my discount.
I walked passed the Fine Jewelry items several times taking detailed account of what was out on the floor in hopes that someone would come and ask if I needed help. Finally, after about 3 trips to look at the FJ items someone asked if I needed help. I told her yes and that I was looking to buy an FJ piece with my 25% off Discount and that I was hoping to find a necklace and that I had a budget of around $300 for the piece.
She looked through the pricing of items on her ipad and offered the Butterfly Necklace for around $200 with the discount (she even showed me the number on the ipad so I assumed it was legit) I was SOLD this piece was so cute and it had been a piece I was eyeing for a few years now. Someone came back to tell me that the piece was out of stock in their store but they could call another store to do a phone order which I was more than willing to do. After almost completing the phone order I was told that the total price including the discount would be $300+ (I'm not sure the exact pricing) and I was confused and explained that this price was not what I was quoted initially. Disappointingly I decided to end the phone order and try and look for another piece.
After this disappointing turn of events I went back to the Fine Jewelry display to see what else I could be offered. It seemed that I wouldn't be able to purchase a necklace under $300 but was willing to pay a bit more just because of the quality and the experience. I had looked forward to coming to the famous Flagship store so I was still trying to keep my spirits up. After talking with another stylist I had looked at the Audrey Pendant Necklaces. There were two on display in gold one large stone and one smaller stone. I knew there was an even smaller Audrey Pendant than the one on display after learning quite a bit about FJ when I was an employee of Kendra Scott just a year ago. The stylist however seemed to think that the "medium" sized one on display was in fact the smaller one and insisted that the price was $450 originally. I tried it on and loved this item as well so I sent her to get me a new one and confirm that it was in fact the $450 necklace. I knew in my gut it wasn't but was trying to be hopeful. Sure enough, she came back and told me that the one I fell in love with was $800 not $450. This meant that twice now in the FLAGSHIP Kendra Scott store I had been misquoted prices from the beginning.
I was so overwhelmed that I had to leave the store and come back after dinner and probably would not have come back after dinner but I had already made earrings at the Color Bar.
I really hate being this person and really had no intention on leaving a bad review until I had thought it over and came to the conclusion that I knew more about the Jewelry in the store than most of the employees on the floor. If this had been me who quoted the wrong price when I was an employee I would have had to honor the misquoted price regardless of what the price was supposed to be.
I ended up purchasing a necklace but probably wouldn't have if I had a store closer to me in my hometown.
I probably won't be going back to the store again which is very disappointing considering I had been looking forward to this visit for months. I even thought about returning the necklace just because the experience was so disappointing and now when I look at the necklace I just think about how much money I spent on an...
Read moreI am a frequent customer and have been for years. I was shopping around in the S Congress area and my daughter and her friend decided to walk to Kendra Scott to meet me there. As they walked in they were greeted by an employee and shortly after - they started being followed by another store employee the whole time making them uncomfortable until the store clerk finally asked them if they were stealing without having any reason to assume this.
Mind you - my daughter asked to try on a ring and browsed around. We have done this many times before where she gets ahead to browse around and pick out items that she likes and I join in and I gather more for myself and we check out without a problem. We have done this at others stores as well. Never has it been a problem.
I understand store clerks have to be vigilant but if you are not following everyone else and they are not hiding or giving you a motive I find the approach from this employee really inappropriate, and quite honestly targeting.
Once she approached the girls (16/17) my daughter told her she has no reason to steal and walked out feeling really uncomfortable and targeted.
I find this experience at Kendra Scott very disappointing with this employee. I usually do not leave reviews even if I had a bad experience but as a parent the mother bear will come out and I would not want other families to have the same experience.
I certainly will not be making anymore purchases at any Kendra Scott. I will definitely communicate this with all my family and friends to...
Read moreIf you are planning to bring your bridesmaid here and pay for their food towers, please rethink that decision. However, they do give the bride and bridesmaids party 15% off everything, so I recommend doing that without ordering any food at all.
I came here with my friends, the bride and other bridesmaids, and upon entering I saw that the foods were simply placed on a display case with a small sign in the middle of the shop. I wish there was someone standing to guard the food while the bridesmaids were browsing the store, as two random customers tried to move me aside to get to the fruit cups and cakes and eat it. Had I not been there, they would have snatched the food.
Also, I would like to mention that the food proportions are very small. The guacamole tower which they claimed to have 20 servings consisted of about less than 50 scoop chips with guacamole in them. I think it could serve two at best and if we were almond moms.
However, the dessert tower was very cute, and I think was the only redeeming part of this, despite tasting mediocre at best.
The fruit salad was not a fruit salad but fruit cups with fruits thrown together. Fruit flies also started congregating around the fruit cups halfway through. The sandwich tower was okay and consisted of cucumber cream cheese sandwiches and salmon cream cheese sandwiches.
I also tried their coffee, and the latte was very bland and watery.
Overall, if you love Kendra and are part of a bach, reserve ahead for the discount but do not waste any unnecessary money any...
