Jesse (Sales Person) Was Great
I'd been looking for a bedroom set & recliner for months. It's an investment & I wanted something I knew I'd be happy with for some time so I took my time. I'd traveled to many local well reviewed stores in & around Austin, as well as visiting tons of websites. I wasn't finding everything I wanted & knew I could so I didn't settle & continued my pursuit. I wanted a reputable, well reviewed company with fair pricing & quality furniture. Seeking something with a commanding presence & am a fan of contemporary, modern, chic, & glamorous looks. I also wanted someone to set-up furniture rather than a doorstep drop. In my pursuit I'd find things I liked, but they either had poor reviews, high prices, no delivery/ set-up option, or extremely overpriced setup fees. When I did find all I wanted delivery was months out, like a ridiculous 4-5 months minimum. Two days before Christmas I decide to go on another search with no expectations of purchasing, yet hopeful to catch a sale & remove this task from my list. I hadn't heard of Mega Furniture but stumbled across them on the internet. They have a good ☆ rating, fair pricing, & styles I like. I add them to my stops & am glad I did. First, I walk in and am immediately pleasantly greeted by Jesse (Salesman). He guided me in the right direction then backed off just enough to allow me to browse without hovering. He came back with great timing to check on me, still careful not to hover. He actually stayed back & allowed me to browse, but noticed my interests & started pricing & checking availability when I'd walk away from the item. When I was ready & had questions he was right there with answers since he had been working in the background. Every question I had was answered immediately with direct knowledge & the one time he didn't have the answer he got it for me immediately. He mentioned he had been in the business for 30 years, honestly it went without saying, his professionalism & knowledge stated it for him. Not only did I have a great experience with Jesse, my sales person, which is rare. I also really enjoyed the Mega Furniture Store & experience. I went to many stores that appeared to have a large in-stock inventory based on? website, to find they had a small non-appealing store with little to no inventory. Not only that, the wait time for them to order it was ridiculously long. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in Mega Furniture (Parmer Crossing) & it was a huge store with lots of inventory, very clean, & spaced well so you can view each rooms furniture rather than everything being stacked on top of something else. In addition, they had a great in-stock selection in their off-site warehouse, meaning no long waiting period.
I'm not too hard to please, BUT I do like what I like & have certain expectations, especially when spending a fair amount of money. I mentioned I was shopping for a bedroom set, I was also on the lookout for a couch/ loveseat set as opposed to recliner if it was well worth it. Lastly, I needed a small dining table with 2 chairs but wasn't willing to spend much. To my surprise the deals were so good I not only found a bedroom set, I also found a recliner couch/ loveseat set, & a very nice 2 seater marble table I couldn't pass up. Everything in one spot, it's all in-stock & will be delivered within about 2 weeks as opposed to 4 to 5 months. I recommend checking Mega Furniture (Parmer Crossing) out & ask for Jesse if you're interested in quality service & a good deal. I will be sure to update this review after I receive my order to let everyone know how the shipping time went along with the quality of delivery/ setup team, furniture received, etc... I'd be lying 🤥 if I said I wasn't concerned at all regarding follow-through service based on some of the reviews I found after purchasing. I haven't had any red flags thus far & expect that my experience will continue to be great. Either way I'll keep everyone informed.

Read moreI have never had such a difficult experience with a company in my life. I'll try to sum up all my horrible experiences with this company here. I've been on a total of 24 phone calls with them in the last 4 weeks so there are plenty of issues to explain.
I was called 2 days before Thanksgiving to say that my furniture would be delivered the next day. I asked what time frame I should be expecting them and she said she didn't know but they would be calling in the morning. I did not get a call. I called at 9 am and left a voicemail asking when I should be expecting the furniture. I did not get a call back. I called again at 3pm and they told me I was the last stop and it would be delivered no later than 7pm. I had plans to leave for Thanksgiving so I asked how I can get a refund on my purchase. I did not want to do business with them and I wanted to refuse the furniture. They said there are no refunds. They said they would call an hour before getting there to let me know they are coming. I did not hear anything. I called them again at 6:30 to discuss a refund and was told that I could get a 40% refund. They said the furniture would get to my house around 8:30pm. I asked to speak to a manager and with a ton of attitude, I was told she would call me back. Of course she did not. I finally received a call at 8:00pm and they let me know they were about an hour out. This is completely unacceptable and extremely inconvenient since it was the day before Thanksgiving and I had plans to go to a Friend's house that is 2 hours away. I've NEVER heard of a store delivering that late at night and especially before a holiday. He told me that I could reschedule the delivery. I was so angry with the company at this point, I decided to use that option. I just didn't want to deal with them anymore that day. I rescheduled a few days later and they delivered the furniture at 8:30pm 5 days later.
The issues of course do not stop there. I ordered a 3 piece set and received 2 pieces. The sales rep sold me the 2 pieces and called me right after to let me know that it actually included 3 pieces. I said if it could be discounted, I would take just the 2, otherwise I wanted the 3 pieces. Only 2 peices were delivered(shocking). Now I can get the 3rd piece only if I pay a $100 delivery fee again or pick it up myself. Obviously I would want everything that I paid for. I'm not willing to pay twice for a delivery when it was the salesman that entered the order wrong. I let them know that I would be coming to pick it up. The representative told me that it would be at the store by the following Tuesday. Tuesday came and no call. I called them and they said it would be ready by Wednesday or Thursday and they would give me a call. Friday came and I decided to call them. I was able to go pick up my furniture the following week. They never called me. In fact, out of the 27 phone calls, they only called me three times. Once was the salesman to tell me I was going to get 3 pieces and the other two times were the 24hr delivery notice and the delivery driver.
Please, please, please be careful ordering anything from this fraudulent, extremely rude company. I've already entered a complaint with the BBB and don't have any other options except for warning people about...
Read moreThis is the worst furniture store I have ever dealt with in my 47 years alive! First of all I buy this furniture ,2 glass shelves with lights on each glass shelf,then I wait for delivery and it comes in complete,so ilI have to wait 2 more weeks to get the shelves. Then they deliver them to my house and the glass shelves are shattered. I call back to San Antonio and I have to wait 2 more weeks to get them shipped to the furniture store. Glass shelve finally come in and delivery guy comes with only glass part and no power boxes to any of the shelves. Then the delivery guy tells me he will be back the next day and would leave the power boxes to to both shelves at south store in which I live up north. So I drive down south to pick up the power boxes in which they are useless because the furniture guy tells me that I need another part to turn on the lights on which when I purchased them was never told! 3 months have passed by and I have junk sitting in my bedroom waiting to see if there is another surprise! O my word! Then when Im on the phone with furniture guy I tell him" why didnt they tell me this when I purchased them and your just telling me 3 months later!!! Im like, I dont want these shelves just sitting here imcomplete for 3 months and they cost me alot of money,junk sitting in my bedroom cant even use them at all! Then the guys tells me that If I come in to the store he would show me how the lights can turn on,which they never told me anything about why they would not work. By now im pulling my hair and I tell the guy I dont want these shelves and that I was going to take these shelves back to his store and that I was not going to pay for them ,3 months just sitting there incomplete!!!! Then the guy tells me well thats up to you what you do with the shelves ,your taking the risk and I tell him "Im the one who is paying for these shelves I have had for 3 months in complete sitting in my bedroom ,no your not paying for them you just sell them and after you get the sell,you dont care! Then he tries to give me a number to call on monday,which I have called this number 3-4times already and all they do is say wait onther 2 weeks. Really,so any mistake from there part I have to wait another 2 weeks! This has been a nightmare! I will never buy from this mega store in my life,Id rather go to goodwill because atleast you know what your getting! Dont want these shelves anymore,im going to charge them a stocking fee for holding these incomplete shelves in my house! I cant believe the customer service this store has and i am shocked that they are still in business. i will never buy anyrhing from these guys again.
