Been going here all my life, it's wonderful. There's not always water for swimming though, only if there's been enough rain but the river does dry up. It has been getting increasingly popular and crowded, and has had kind of an outdoor party vibe. Honestly I wish there were less people, and for the people that do go to not be in full-on party mode or leave any trash. I'm not against rap music but it seems wrong to have it blaring in a place like this. Just my opinion, of course. It is still a good time.

I love the Greenbelt and the Flats, especially when the water is flowing. Amazing, one of the many gems that comes with being an Austinite. Great place to hang out, drink a couple cold ones and sun bathe while taking to the friendly people who call Austin home. Good times! Great hiking biking and much more

Easy to access, with forking trails, and close to the creek. The trail was less cared for on this trip than I've ever seen it in over 30 years, with dog poo on the trail (on... not alongside the trail) for over 100 yards from the street...
