Tomlinson's Feed — Attraction in Austin

I’ll definitely be coming back to this well-stocked, fairly priced local pet supply store in the future! I stopped by for silver vine because I heard cats like it even more than catnip. I was curious to see how my cats would react and didn’t want to wait for some place online to ship it to me so I popped in to Tomlinson’s when I saw they had it in stock. I’m thankful to the staff member who recommended the silver vine sticks to me, because between those and the powder I picked out, my cats prefer the sticks hands down.

I also bought a new dry food for my cats to try—the Fromm chicken and cheese flavor—and my picky divas love it! I have never seen them gobble down a dry food so enthusiastically.

I got the sense everything was carefully selected and that I couldn’t go wrong with whatever I picked. The staff were also really friendly but not overbearing. I can’t rave about this...

Only leaving a 5 star review because I dont want the store employees to be punished. Otherwise I would rate this business as a whole one star. SHOP ELSEWHERE!!! Read Glassdoor and other employment reviews of this company. They overwork and underpay their employees that offer you top notch customer service. Do not support a company that takes advantage of lower and working class citizens of Austin. It is NOT just a family-owned company anymore, but a small corporation. Support other local pet shops if you can.

This place is as premium a pet / food store as I have ever seen. Super-premium brands I have never heard of before here and that I have only ever seen here. Makes the premium stuff at the regular pet places look like they just don’t care about making the good stuff. The cat furniture is just amazing stuff. If your cat wants a particular style to go with their new decorating mood, say they are in their minimalist period, then this is the place to get it. We go there for one thing: best pet toys. The mice and other catnip toys here keep our crew stoned for hours: way better than anything from anywhere else. Not sure why. Just seems like they concentrate it somehow.
