Wally Workman Gallery — Attraction in Austin

Last Friday evening marked my first visit to Wally Workman for an opening reception; and I can see exactly why this established gallery has been providing art to the Austin area for so many years. The staff is welcoming, the space is airy and uncomplicated and contains a diverse selection of art. There are enough seats in each viewing room to sit back, relax and take it all in. Stopped by to check out their art collection. I liked it but the inexperienced staff was not helpful, and the owner (Wally) never got back to me despite leaving contact information.

This is the best contemporary gallery I've found in Austin. Their art shows the hand of the artist more than other galleries, and this gallery has a broad stable exploring many techniques.
