Avenue Market — Attraction in Baltimore

Nothing in there but people that take from the community and give NOTHING back...they don't clean around the stalls and rude to customers.. it's a big place with 5 business and all sell greasy non healthy high calories food and of course chicken that never fresh This is how a community that our representatives forget about once in office..the police don't even care, open air drug market, underage kids hanging on all 4 corners and trash blowing throughout the streets, it's a shame the games being played on us who live here..the only positive thing here is a community garden that sells home grown vegetables and fruit and that opens twice weekly...Ghetto memorials decorate light post of crimes years ago that's not keep up, just deflated balloons and weather beaten stuff animal toys.... Addicts roam the street panhandling or selling stolen ware. This was once the famous Pennsylvania Avenue, part of the chittlin circuit but no buildings were spared or renovation of theaters that should be famous landmarks, oh yeah, there is a display board with little information about Thurgood Marshall and a moral that overhead on a vacant shop...I could.go on but my tears are wetting this nice face... it's a shame but wait until...

The Chinese spot at 1700 Pennsylvania Ave. the food was horrible. The health department need to get rid of this garbage 🗑️ before someone gets sick shut them down immediately food was nasty old and disgusting from there today and when I tell you, they had so much sauce on top of the sweet chicken make look good sweet chicken looking good and was not fresh. It was gross And I paid $12 for absolutely nothing. Chinese food was not good at all that was the worst food .I ever taste and I will not recommend a dog to go in there eat will be calling the health department on them. Suppose to have participated in Avenue Market Book Fair and Community Day as a Children's Book Author on Saturday, December 11,2021 bmorenews.com Doni Glover sponsored, but event did not occur and I was not notified that event had been canceled . Children's Spelling Bee and awards given to Community members were to occur on this day. I was extremely excited to participate because my children books are written to meet those type of needs and develop strong readers, but again event did not occur.
