Save A Lot — Local services in Baltimore

The manager accused me of stealing when I didn’t. I was standing in the checkout line because it was long and I saw that there was ground turkey for $1.00. So, I placed the item in my cart and I put back the more expensive ground turkey that I picked up before knowing about the one with the reduced price. As I was putting it back, I saw that my purse was open. So, I place the turkey back into the section it was supposed to go and then closed my purse. Then, the manager stopped me and told me to leave the store. They did not question me, check my bag or check the security footage that was being displayed right in front of the frozen meats! They just assumed that I was stealing! I go to that store all the time, the staff recognizes me. I’d never steal, especially not ground turkey! I’m never coming to the store again, not because I’m banned for a year but because I am fed up with the awful new management. If you want to get accused of theft, this is the place you’ll want to be. Otherwise, stay home or choose another location. If I could rate this place -15 stars, I would. I’ve been going here for about five years and it’s mostly pleasant every time.

It’s not the best neighborhood, so for the staff to have such great attitudes is amazing. I’ve seen a deranged lady in front of me not be so nice while checking out. I could see that the cashier was frustrated but that did not stop from greeting me with a smile and providing me with excellent service by the time I got to her.

I can ask anyone working there for assistance and they have no problem help. Even security is helpful and has greeted me with a smile.

Long lines are always frustrating but what market doesn’t get packed at times. I’ve seen them open up lines once high traffic is noticed and quickly get customers checked out.

They don’t always have exactly what I’m looking for, but for what it might lack in certain items they make up for with positivity and good work ethic.

The Muzak was playing my favorite tunes from the the 90's (Real Love by MJBlige) and I was singing. Deliveries were being handled by store associates, and transferred to the shelves. Security was alert but not intrusive. The store was clean. I have never seen the meat section so full and varied. And the cashiers appeared to positively engage and attend to each customer in an timely and friendly way. I personally like that I can roll my double-decker cart for 2 blocks, with my decorative grocery bags and reach an oasis (of sorts). But even if everything at this store ran perfectly, this would be a 2 star establishment with a star thrown in for adequate...
