Carroll Park stands as a unique destination, blending history and nature. As the oldest colonial structure and former plantation, this park holds a significant place in the city's past. While it may not boast the same aesthetic charm as other parks in the Baltimore area, it offers a range of attractions that make it worth exploring. One of Carroll Park's notable features is its skate park. The vibrant graffiti art in the skate park is extremely cool, adding an artistic vibe to the park For those seeking a leisurely stroll or bike ride, Carroll Park's paved trails offer a convenient and pleasant way to explore the surroundings. These well-maintained pathways wind through the park, providing an opportunity to immerse yourself in nature while appreciating the park's historical significance. Sports enthusiasts will find plenty to love about Carroll Park, as it offers vast fields for baseball and other outdoor sport activities. While Carroll Park may not rank as the most visually stunning park for me in the Baltimore area, its historical significance and diverse range of recreational amenities make it a worthwhile destination. Its ties to slavery provide a thought-provoking backdrop, inviting you to contemplate Baltimore’s past.

This is a beautiful park. Skateboard area, basketball courts, baseball areas, and a children's play area. The only issue is it is not very regarded by its neighbors or the city. Trash lines the pathways and often new and used insulin size needles scattered about. It also seems to be a place that organizations or individuals leave food items, but often can goods and raw vegetables are left on the ground or tables. If this is a place where the homeless or persons with substance misuse hang out, why not create a safer and more humane approach with a needle exchange station and proper food distribution.

This is a nice Baltimore city park. Came here for a lunch break during a work day. There were several people walking with their dogs off-leash, but the park wasn't busy and the dogs seemed to keep to themselves. There was quite a bit of trash around the back parking lot when i was there....not sure if there is usually an issue with trash or not though. Overall thought it was a nice green space in the city with sports fields and grassy knolls to walk around on.

What can I say about Carroll Park(located on Washington Blvd in Pig town).. It's one of the more basic parks..It has no swimming pool,or tennis court, like Druid Hill park,or Patterson park..It doesn't even have a pond for ducks..It only has a small skate park hidden away in the north east corner of the park,it has courts for basketball also..A modest mansion called The Mount Clare Museum House sits at the top of one of the highest points of the park formerly owned by Mr Charles Carroll who also owned the surrounding 2.9 acres of land we now call Carroll Park.. Though this park has none of the razzle dazzle of the other parks it is my favorite chill spot, and it holds sentimental value for me..Decades ago I was homeless and spent a night in Carroll Park(on the Monroe Street side)preferring the anonymity and safety that darkness promises..That was almost two decades ago..Now I'm a homeowner, and those hardscrabble days, and lonely nights are,but a faint, yet cautionary memory, but I still remember,so when I want to relax-feed the squirrels, and just marvel at nature and life I always ride through Carroll Park and sit in my...

It's a very large clean public park with plenty of trails 2 bike, walk, run etc. Theres on street parking all along the perimeter of the entire park. So youre not left driving in circles trying to get a good spot. Its located directly across from a Royal Farm Store & a 7-11. Which is great for those hot summer days! There are fields to play baseball/softball or a game of kickball. Plenty of picnic tables throughout the park with a pavilion towards the back. Its quite large too! Their bathrooms aren't to bad either for being a public city restroom. (when in season). There are alot of old large trees with perfect shade for reading books or just relaxing. I love taking my dogs there too because its never too crowded & I can let them do their own thing. It's great to have a huge park inside our city to enjoy year round. Ecspecially when it seems everywhere you look there's greenery being destroyed for more construction. It's no Central Park but I love it & I also appreciate the fact that it's protected! Nice to know the city won't tear it down in years to come to build more buildings...
