This place has a laidback atmosphere. When it's busy, you need to sign in for a tasting, if it's not - go right to the tasting bar. Right now you get 5 tastings for $12. With the exception that the blueberry dessert one (brandy like) counts as 2 pours. We also fo a small cup of chocolates to taste test at the end of the tasting. I enjoyed the reisling, cranberry, and blueberry. Kyle was a great host. Share information about the wines and gave us recommendations for food, beer, hikes, etc while we're in town. The bathrooms are outside the tasting room. Have someone go with you as the locks weren't working. There's a cafe on premise that's open certain hours. It was not overly busy while we were there and while there were people use all parts of the winery, we didn't need to wait for anything. Outdoor and indoor seating. This place has a great vibe.

A huge thank you to the team at Bar Harbor Cellars as they let us come in for a tasting right after the 4:30 last seating and then talked to us for a good 20 extra minutes after closing. Paul and his team did an amazing job of making us feel welcome and telling us about Sweet Pea’s legacy on the farm. We did a tasting and very reasonable to pick 5 wines. Being the very end of their season, we hope to come back to try more of their wines someday. Our rockstars were the blueberry (extremely well balanced and not too sweet!), the Sangiovese, and the cranberry! We also bought a chocolate bar that had a sweat pea design on top - the dark chocolate, coffee, and blueberry in combination was outstanding. We did not venture into the cafe or other areas of the grounds but it all looked very nice!

Normally I wouldn't give over 3 stars for a place that has to entirely purchase juice to create their wine, but they do a very good job. They have 4 white, 4 red, 4 fruit wines (3 were sold out), and one cider. You get 6 samples per tasting so Debbie and I able to try everything. I honestly liked everything thing I tasted with the possible exception of the cider, which was a apple/blueberry combination and was ok but seemed a little off to me. None of the wines were real dry and very smooth. The only really sweet wine was the blueberry, which we expected. Their tasting room is in a pretty nice converted barn and they have other local items for sale also. Anyway it's well worth the visit and unless you only like very dry wines you'll certainly find a wine you like here.

Stopped in two weeks ago in search of blueberry wine for my mother in law, knowing it was nearing their posted closing time. As we walked in the signage stated that the final tasting for the day had already started, and my heart sank expecting a rushed buy your bottle and get out experience. We received anything but! Eric is a great ambassador of not only Bar Harbor Cellars but the entire wine industry. Not only a great ambassador of the entire Acadia region travel industry, but also of family vacation travel in general. He got to know us and made sure we were informed of our purchase, but also made sure we knew how to make the bottle we would take home a memorable experience when consumed. He made my entire family feel like VIPs as he gave us a taste of the wine we arrived inquiring about and gave us multiple drink and dessert recipes and fruit paring suggestions to compliment our bottle. We were not rushed, but instead treated to incredible hospitality that made you feel like you left vacation with a new friend. As he securely wrapped our purchased bottles for air travel, he continued our experience by giving a great recommendation for ice cream along our route. Don't hesitate to stop and make sure to ask for Eric. I can only image how great a full tasting would have been under his thoughtful guidance. Acadia was a breathtaking bucket list vacation for us, but unexpectedly, a simple quick stop for a bottle from Bar Harbor Cellars easily became one of the highlights of our...

Stopped in for a quick tasting (5 dollars) and to grab a bottle of their blueberry wine for my wife. We got it a few years ago during our last Acadia visit and she loved it.

The tasting is 6 selections, and the pours are on the smaller side but everything we tried was great. Maybe due to our kids driving us nuts earlier. I tried riesling and the syrah, both of which were serviceable. Their desert wine, however, is where it's at. Together we tried all but one of them, and each one was as good as the last, with the standout being their ice wine, which was amazing. If it wasn't $50 per a bottle and we weren't cheapasses, we probably would have bought a bottle. I could imagine it pairing incredibly well with a cold slice of blueberry cheesecake. The staff was prompt, informative, friendly, and willing to substitute a selection with something else when my wife didn't like one of her picks.

The chocolate room has some excellent locally sourced chocolates. My daughter picked some chocolate covered blueberries that were pricy but incredible. Even if you don't like wine, the blueberries are worth a visit. We also tried truffles made with wine, raspberries, and semi sweet chocolate...

Any negative reviews would be from when this company was owned by someone else. The new wines made by the owner Kyle are a mix between sophisticated and fun. I have tried wines from all over the world, and it's few and far between that you can taste the creativity and love within the blend. The options range from something mature and intelligent to something flexible and refreshing, with the easy ability to mix into a spritzer. I had the privilege to get to know the owner/creator for a short time, and anyone that knowledgeable whose eyes light up when talking about his craft will certainly go far! I personally will push until these wines are a household name because they should be! A great product always has so much potential, and I believe he's just getting started with these outstanding blends. If you're considering stopping in, you should, or you will be missing out! I have been informing all my clients to take a trip up here, and miss out is a sin! I can't wait to see what's next for this outstanding company and its brand. Sky is the limit...
