We (myself, husband, 4 adult children & 5 month old grandchild) rented two cottages for 3 nights in July and enjoyed our stay immensely. Both cottages were impeccably clean, fully stocked, and adorably decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the living room and kitchen area in cottage #12 had plenty of room for our group. Cottage #6 was very cozy (not much room to walk around but that's okay), with a queen sized bed, 2 chairs, a kitchenette, and a small bathroom with an even smaller shower. My husband and I absolutely loved it! Cottage #12 is the farthest from the road and looked brand new on the inside. It has 2 bedrooms that could have slept 5 people comfortably, plus room for my granddaughter's pack 'n play. As mentioned before, there was plenty of furniture and room for all 6 of us adults to watch the Olympics, play board games, and eat together. A huge bonus is the laundry "shed" (so much nicer and cuter than what you're thinking) which has a washer and dryer that guests can use for $2.50 per load. We all loved staying at Rose Eden and would definitely return if we're in...
Read moreWe loved staying at Rose Eden cottages! Upon arrival, check-in was very easy and the host was very welcoming. It is very dog friendly. Our two dogs were given treats during check-in by the host. The cottages are so cute! Our cottage was very clean and a perfect size for me, my husband, and our dogs. It’s about a ten minute drive to downtown which was perfect. There are two small restaurants right near the cottages. We didn’t get to try Rose Eden Lobster, but the pizza at Sweet Peas Cafe was phenomenal. The host recommended this to us when I asked for pizza places nearby. We ordered it three times during our stay! The WiFi in the cottages was not the greatest, but we weren’t there for the WiFi so it didn’t bother us at all. Overall, Rose Eden Cottages is a great place to stay while visiting Bar Harbor! We would definitely stay again when traveling to Bar...
Read moreI adored my stay at Rose Eden Cottages. I was looking for something different - no cookie-cutter hotel on this trip, and I got a really unique & wonderful experience here! I traveled on my own, so I got the smallest cabin - it worked great for me! Small fridge, TV, A/C and an attached bathroom with shower were all there, including a full sized bed that was comfy & a small area to eat in, too. I loved the tiny front porch & Adirondack chairs, too. Easy driving distance into Bar Harbor & Mt Desert Island makes this the perfect get-a-way location. Its great to get into town for "hustle & bustle" and then return to cottage for some rest & relaxation. Don't miss their Lobster Bakes...
