Baraboo Music — Attraction in Baraboo

I went to this place approximately 12 years ago and it was an incredible store with many options for acoustic and electric guitars. I was back in the area visiting a friend and he suggested we go here and check it out. The store is very clean and they do have reasonable options for a store in a smaller town. However the store has completely changed from what it was. There seems to be less diversity in brands in the store which is a little disappointing as well as the options available being on the higher end price point for lesser known brands. I feel like the store could be a deterrent to local beginners and may leave them to turn to purchasing online instead of buying in the store. The atmosphere was also very laid back and quiet, it would’ve been cool to have some cool music playing in such a large store. So my criticism to the store would be to have a wider variety of beginner friendly priced guitars, as well as a more inviting atmosphere. I’m just a regular guy so I know nothing about running a guitar store but I do also think they have the store set up backwards having a seating area in the front and instruments pushed to the back I feel like the guitars and ukuleles should be at the forefront of the store and the chill zone should be in the low ceiling...

Went in and asked that the intonation of my guitar needs adjustment. I was asked if I had a few minutes, told him yes and within minutes he handed me back my guitar perfectly tuned and welll cleaned. Couldn't of asked for better service. I was prepared to fork out more dollars than I did. Excellent service and more than reasonable cost. Thankyou...
