Veterans Memorial Park — Attraction in Barnstable

Horrible/rude staff members who seem to discriminate. Hours state 9AM-9PM. However, arrived 8am. This one tall 5'7" white male was seen taking pictures of our vehicle. Walked over and asked why at which point he responded in a irate manner you did not pay. We explained no one was at entryway to collect at which he responded "well your here now" right. This was a great place. This place had a nice beach, with views of the bay, and you can watch ferries going back and forth. You can also see the Cape and Islands Korean War Memorial. This memorial was very nice and impressive, with a wonderful statue in the center. The one thing that was an issue here was the geese poop, so just stay on the walkways. This beach was super close to our hotel at the harbor. It's small but great for families. It has a playground, picnic tables, shower and bathrooms. There is a lifeguard on duty and a roped off swimming area. It was very clean (besides the crazy amount of goose poop). Just be mindful of your belongings.
