The food that everyone at our table had last night at The Break was absolutely outstanding. For example, I had an extremely delicious glass of Cabernet, seasoned and seared edge large raw tuna pieces, and a plate with a huge hamburger and huge serving of french fries on it. It wasn’t just a regular hamburger though, it had caramelized onions, Boursin, and some other things on it. There were enough french fries to fade at least two people, and I don’t know how they were cooked to such perfection. They weren’t in the least bit greasy, and their outsides were kind of puffed up a little bit, and the taste was amazing. Other people loved their food and drinks so much that there really wasn’t any sharing going on. For $25 a person, you can’t beat this dinner deal on Cape Cod. The big negative about this restaurant is that there is not an elevator to the main dining room, which is on the second floor. The only way up there is by an outside flight of stairs, which wasn’t a whole lot of fun for most people because it was snowing out. And the huge negative issue about that is that it is probably against the law. I am in a wheelchair, and there was no way to get me upstairs to the restaurant’s dining room. Instead, in the bar downstairs, they put two tables together and set that up so that we could eat down there. We were treated...
Read moreMy family loves exploring new dining spots, and we recently discovered an incredible find!
After returning from Nantucket on the ferry, we stumbled upon The Break, perfectly situated just across from the Cape Cod - Nantucket ferry pier.
We decided to stop in for dinner and drinks, and from the moment we entered, the atmosphere exceeded our expectations. The restaurant had a fantastic selection of beers on draft, as well as specialty cocktails.
The highlight of our meal was the buffalo flatbread. Every dish we tried was delicious and made with high-quality ingredients. We’re already looking forward to visiting again, especially in the summer months to take advantage of their beautiful outdoor patio space.
A special mention goes to our server, Jilmar, who truly elevated our experience. He provided thoughtful recommendations, checked in frequently, and ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our time.
I am sure The Break will become one of our new favorite spots, and we couldn’t be happier to have found such a hidden gem in Cape Cod. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, drinks, and a...
Read moreWe came in as a group of four for dinner. We waited at the bar for 30 minutes for our table. We were sat at the table for about 30 minutes without seeing any server. Finally, we got someone’s attention to ask to order food. We were told she’d have to get our server. Nobody came for several minutes until the hostess came over and took our order. We were told by the hostess we didn’t have a server. At this point, we’d been sitting for almost an hour with no service or even water or silverware. We never even ended up getting a server. Another staff member brought out meals out without the apps we ordered. We asked where the apps were because we didn’t want to be charged for food we ordered and were met with attitude. The food was fine. We also didn’t get our appetizers until after dinner. In total we spent about 2.5 hours there with no service besides the hostess who was willing to...
