When our wedding went from 7 to 30, we anxiously started searching for accommodations for our out of town guests that would be joining us in Hyannis. We were fortunate that we found the Sea Street Inn. Adrian and Xenia D’Ambrosi couldn’t have been more accommodating. With so many details to attend to, it was a relief when Adrian and Xenia quickly responded to all of our inquiries about lodging for our guests.
Although he had guests that included a reporter from the Boston Globe on site the day of the viewing, Adrian still took time to meet with me and give a tour of the this impeccable Inn. There was such a fresh, vibrant feeling throughout this luxurious retreat. In addition to the tour, Adrian spent time going over the breakfast menu and was quick to make note of special dietary needs for certain people. This gave us the ability to relax and know that our guests would be treated extremely well.
Our plan was to have wedding pictures taken at the Sea Street Inn due to the location of our beach wedding and the extraordinary elegance of this Inn. Unfortunately, there was an absolute down pour when our ceremony was to take place and the entire event was moved to the restaurant that we had planned for the wedding dinner. The rain didn’t let up for several hours so we were never able to make it back to Sea Street for these pictures. We had a wonderful wedding but remain disappointed that we were not able to take advantage of the beautiful setting that was offered to us. In addition, Xenia had gone to the extra trouble to make a beautiful bouquet that we never saw until the next day. However, they made sure to place this gorgeous arrangement in our suite.
The food! Oh, the food! We couldn’t have imagined how delicious the food would be! The day of the tour, Adrian had prepared a generous lobster roll for me to sample as we were discussing the menu. This gave us a glimpse of the extravagance that we were all to enjoy. However, the breakfast atmosphere combined with the decadence surpassed anything that we could have imagined. French press coffee, fresh juice, fresh smoothies, warm fresh biscuits, corn muffins, bagels with gravlax, Croque Madame, lobster benedict and smoked trout were some of the delights that we were served. It was if we were royalty!
One of the fondest memories that we have from our wedding weekend occurred at the Sea Street Inn on the last night of our stay in Hyannis. We had been gifted champagne and had asked Adrian if we could gather and share this with the few family members still at the Inn while sitting on the deck. He promptly chilled it for us, supplied us with appropriate stemware and reluctantly joined what he thought was a private celebration. This was not the case, we felt that he and his wife had rolled out the red carpet the entire time we were at the Inn and he was very much part of our celebration. Our only regret was that Xenia was not on location when this occurred. We will be forever grateful for all that we experienced and the memories created at the Sea Street Inn during our wedding...
Read moreAfter a LOT of research, we went here for our Honeymoon. We had zero regrets and would wholeheartedly recommend.
First, the basics. The property is spotless and immaculately maintained. It was quiet. the food was amazing. Customer service was unbelievable. We knew we would need to recharge after the wedding week and it was everything we wanted.
On cleanliness: The owner stated he refreshed our room before our arrival as it was vacant for ONE night, including mopping the room before we arrived The room and property as a whole represented that level of cleanliness. The floor was clean enough that you could eat off of it. The kitchen where breakfast was prepared always looked like a team had just cleaned and staged it for parade of homes. We didn't ask for or need fresh linens but the owner insisted on refreshing every other day at minimum.
On noise: The property was quiet. There was a little bit of construction noise from the neighbors but the property is well insulated and shutting the window did the trick. The guests are obviously high class and reflect that. The owner is also super involved and would clearly intervene if necessary.
On food: We are foodies, including seeking Michelin Star restaurants. The breakfast was amazing and set us up nicely for our days. Please see the pictures.
On customer service: This is what really sets the property apart. The owner interacted with us in a positive way every single day. For instance, we brought a bottle of wine as a dessert to have as a nightcap and left it in our room when we left for the day. When we came back, there were wine glasses and a box of chocolates to pair with the wine. Before we even arrived, I asked the owner about electric vehicle recharging as the airport was having a special on electric vehicles. He scouted the area in the coming days and sent me information and pictures of the chargers in the area, which helped me make a good decision. Every day, he asked us about our plans and offered suggestions. Included in the suggestions was very detailed insider information that really helped take some of our days from good to excellent, such as tips about a French Bistro or other helpful info. We were also able to get a discount on the ferry and restaurant reservations for dinner that were otherwise unavailable without his help.
All in all, we felt it was a bit of a "risk" to pick Cape Cod for our Honeymoon as it's not a typical spot, but using Sea Street as our home base make it 100% worth it and a great decision. We would both give it our wholehearted recommendation for any...
Read moreBack in March my husband and I visited Cape Code for the first time and stayed at the Sea Street Inn for a weekend. We arrived at the inn rather late (around 9pm) and Adrian went out and greeted us as we got out of our car and then gave us a tour of the Inn before retiring himself. Our room was clean and nicely-appointed and had everything we needed after a long car ride: super plush bed and pillows, clean shower and bathroom with well-stocked toiletries, quiet location. The mini-fridge was stocked with beer and water and sparkling water and the room was stocked with disinfecting wipes. Very thoughtful. And the next morning we were in for a very nice surprise when we were greeted with the most thoughtful and beautifully prepared breakfast/brunch that we have had in any BnB: vegan corn muffin, scrumptious vegan huevos rancheros with vegan sausage, and a beautifully-arranged fruit plate. The reason it was a nice surprise for us was that seeing the pictures on the Inn's website and knowing that Adrian is trained in classic and modern French cooking, I did not expect him to "approve" of plant-based cooking so when I made the reservation I just put "vegan" in the special notes section hoping that he understands that we won't be able to enjoy his food. Not only did he not "not approve" of our way of eating, he went above and beyond by experimenting with vegan products that were new to him to make sure that we have the same, if not better, experience than any other guests that stay in his Inn. After our brunch, he spent a good half an hour walking us through the map that he marked up the night before for places that we can check out that day driving up and down the Cape. He left no details unexplained and my husband and I ended up just following his directions and we had the most relaxing and easy time checking out the area. Adrian knows the area well and the instructions that he gave us were almost turn-by-turn :-)))
Thank you so much for your unsurpassed hospitality and we look forward to our next visit in the...
