Bee-Attitudes Antiques — Attraction in Batavia Township

I came in on a Saturday afternoon. I was the only one in the store. I was followed and asked several times if I needed help. I politely said I was looking. I had picked up a couple of of items for purchase. I set them aside by the counter. I asked if there was a washroom and they directed me to it. I continued to shop I was followed again. She kept asking if I needed help. At this time I thought she was forgetful. I informed her that I was STILL looking. The store was hard to navigate I was careful to not bump tnto things. The store had several rooms and stairs I was just taking it all in. The lady AGAIN asked me in a period of about thirty minutes if I needed help again. This is where I told her that I was getting a bit mad and hassled. I told her she kept asking me if I needed help. I said I told her no several times and that I was getting angry. I raised my voice and told her to stop asking me if I needed help and following me around. She said that we LET you use our washroom. They could have said no. I apologized for using the washroom. She started to get testy then. I told her that she was a mean person and I would never shop here. I also told her I would review my treatment and the place. I was excited to be able to go there. My treatment was appalling. I'm an adult and was treated as if I was a young kid trying to steal from them. 63 years old and I've only had a couple of times I felt like I had to defend myself while shopping. This...

This place is a joke. I have grown up in antiques, estate sales, and high end furniture. This place is double or more the value of these products. They have beautiful items that have been marked up for a large profit. I didn't make it through the whole store before I had to leave. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! It is overpriced and a total rip off. There are so many other shops a town or two over that are reasonable and not trying to take all of your money! My goodness what a charming store. There are so many lovely items. You could get lost for hours just dreaming of owning such unique and elegant goodies. And the Ladies who labor with such passion to show off their wares have done such a wonderful job setting everything just perfectly to compliment one item from the other.
