Lovely little museum with two floors. Kid friendly and gender neutral bathrooms available. Wheelchair accessible for both floors, and spacious enough for wheel chairs. The train cart located outside the museums is not accessible however

a great place, I am very happy that I visited it with my family and friends. the enormity of the knowledge passed down by polite, sympathetic people. I sincerely recommend everyone to choose this place for a walk with their loved ones.

Small free history museum about Batavia IL. They have a small playroom for younger kids. Exhibits include furniture from Mary Todd Lincoln, artifacts, and local train history. Staff is friendly and informative.

It's pretty interesting!! There is local memorabilia here, including furniture from the room in the sanitarium that Mary Todd Lincoln was in. It's free admission with suggested donations. We put some cash in the donation box. There is a downstairs section that has a full sized wagon and tons of interesting things!! They have the very first bank of the area on the property that you can go into and the train car is also open to roam through!! The park next to the museum is really pretty but busy. The girl at the counter was super nice and knowledgeable as well. A nice way to follow up the trip...

Batavia Depot Museum. What a cool place. Alot of exhibits for the space. Full basement with the full history of the area including Native Americans. The Depots history is cool. Volunteers on duty for questions. Clean restrooms. My favorite is the caboose, open to public.. Check out the abbreviated hours before you stop in. Well worth your time. Our American history is Very, Very...

The main Museum is an old train depot from the 1800's. They have some unusual items, a bed and dresser from an insane asylum that Mary Todd...
