Took us 5 years out here to finally check this out and we had a blast! What a hidden gem. There are only two parking lots, upper main which you get to by driving straight and the lower lot which you turn right and down to get into but that entrance does not accept cards or cash so it’s generally used as a season pass holders entrance however if you have a proof of a pre purchased pass they can also let you through there. The parking got very crowded. They could probably dig out more lot space as a lot of cars had to park along the road entrance. There are onsite concessions (cash only) and nice real bathroom facilities. There’s a huge picnic area behind the main beach. The water is opaque not clear. We went on a warm day and it was very nice. The lifeguards there are attentive. There was an unattended young kid who was flailing and I got to see them in action as one whistled the alarm and the other sprinted then swam to save him. There are lounge chairs provided but also you can bring your own if you’re worried about getting one. Once they reach capacity, which they will on a nice day, it’s a one in, one out rule.

We come every year for 4th of July and if I do come on that day u have to get there an hour before they open or u will arrive to a line that ends in the parking lot. I love it because u can bring in food and grills and have a cook out. I also love it because they have sand so u can build sandcastles like a 🏖 and I also bring my floaties. They also have a couple if like umbrellas that rain water. And they house a cool water float u can climb that the teens like and like 3 diff spots to dive or slide into the deep end. And a cool little slide for the kids. This place is just great and they have plenty of stalls and showers outside the house and inside the bathrooms and free 🔐 lockers. They don’t charge u like other places but of course u need ur own lock. They just don’t have a lot of charging rooms but I used the handicapped one last time cause there was puke in it so no one used it lol. Either way I live this place. They also have a volleyball court inside and trees for shade 🌲

Today, 7/12/24, I went to use my Batavia Park District Groupon. I visited their website this morning to verify the opening time. It said 12 pm. We were staying 45 min away so we left at 11. We arrived at 12 pm. The whole place was empty. But the gates were open. So we walked up. We walked in. I saw maybe two workers. Nobody came over. Someone over the loud speaker yelled "We are not open until 130" I was very upset as they had NO signs up and the website said nothing. We left, ate lunch and came back. We arrived at 120 pm and got out and got in line. We were at the North Side. By this time it was 127 pm and someone said, "You need a season pass to enter at this door" - which there was NO sign for this until you got up to the window which we did not get to. We got back in the car and drove to the south parking lot. There was a line so long that it would have taken at least 30 min to get through. We left and will not...
