Hearts Novelties — Attraction in Baton Rouge

I’ve always had pleasant experiences at Hearts, and my interactions with staff have consistently been positive—including during my most recent visit on March 26th, 2025. Unfortunately, during that visit, I was incorrectly charged $54.99 for an item clearly marked at $23.95. I promptly notified the store, and the associate I spoke with was apologetic and acknowledged the error, informing me that a manager would need to address it the following day during normal business hours.

Understanding that I work long hours, I was reassured that the message would be clearly communicated and the issue handled accordingly. However, after a few days with no follow-up, I reached out and was able to speak with a manager. She explained they needed the weekend and promised the matter would be resolved by Monday, with a return call to confirm. That call never came. I’ve attempted to follow up once more when my schedule allowed, but I’ve yet to receive any meaningful communication or resolution.

I understand that mistakes happen—we’re all human. My concern is not with the initial error, but with the lack of follow-through and accountability from management in correcting it. If the charge couldn’t be fixed, I would have appreciated a transparent conversation and an effort to find an alternative resolution. Unfortunately, the lack of responsiveness has prevented even that.

Went to this store for the first time with the boyfriend and was greeted by the owner who happened to be outside when we walked up, he struck up a friendly conversation and we all went inside where again we were greeted by very friendly staff.
