Excellent Bird show in Disney’s Animal Kingdom This is located in the Asia Section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. This is in the back of the park, behind the Tree of Life and between the Africa and Asia sections of the park. It used to be Up: A Great bird adventure where they had characters from the movie UP in the show. I was not a fan of that incarnation of the show and stopped going. The new show is excellent. It is two cast members and animal handlers talking about the different birds as they maneuver around the theater. If you sit in the middle of the theater you may have some very close encounters with large birds as they swoop down while flying across the area. The two ladies were excellent and unflappable. I say this because in one part of the show, one of the birds plucked one of the cast members’ microphone cords out and she had to find another one. Hilarious, but fun, as the other member pivoted smoothly to showing a different bird without any delay. It is bench style seating with no COVID spacing. There was no line when we visited and plenty of seats available. It looked like they were running shows almost every hour starting at about 1030. Overall, this is an excellent show and well worth the time to stop...
Read moreI have walked past this show previously without thinking much about it. I really wish I had gone to this show well before I started going!!
I've seen some parrots flying around Animal Kingdom but didn't really think much of it; then I saw a few fly from this area and saw the show name and got interested. I am so glad I got to experience this show!!
This is one of the best animal shows I've ever seen! All of the birds are really impressive to see and their ability to work with their trainers are astounding! The birds come up close and fly around/amongst the audience. I cannot recommend this show enough! I will be sure to visit here again if/when I come back to Disney!
The trainers keep the atmosphere light and fun. The kids in the audience are actively engaged in with the birds with certain demonstrations. It is evident that everyone here loves their job and the results are amazing!
The location is perfect as there is ample seating and the cover keeps the sun off the audience.
I really wish there was a behind the scenes access for this show as I would love to see more of this. Sadly this show isn't directly owned by Disney according to some of the cast members so there currently isn't a...
Read moreIf you're interested in birds this is definitely for you. If you have a fear of birds you're probably not at Disney. This is actually a fun and exciting show. I didn't quite realize how close the birds get to you when you're in the front rows and they are flying overhead. Everybody kept flinching. It was a lot of fun and it was entertaining and it was also educational. There are a lot of interesting birds along with a few fairly common ones. Disney has done a really good job setting this one up and they have some really excellent people...
