This was a beautiful hike through Indonesian/Indian/Pakistanian inspired architecture and jungle-like paths, with a few stops along the way to observe a few different animals native to that region.
The architecture and attention to detail alone is worth a five-star rating — and I really want to give it that. But there really wasn’t a lot to look at in terms of animal life — a few monkeys, a couple tigers, some deer, a couple lizards, and some bats and birds. But there really wasn’t that much to see in terms of animals, and that just felt a little bit like a let-down to me.
Still, it was VERY NICE to walk through there and get a little break from the ABSOLUTE MADNESS that is Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Do yourself a favor — if it’s really busy, spend some of the peak hours on the jungle trek to just get away from the crowds for a bit, decompress, and relax a little. I’d encourage you to even just find a quiet corner and sit for awhile, maybe close your eyes and relax. It’s a nice little oasis, even if it’s lacking in...

It's a pretty lengthy walk but the scenery keeps you distracted the whole time. The Komodo dragons were fascinating to see but unfortunately the bats weren't available. The tigers seemed sleepy and lethargic. Seeing the apes in person was pretty fascinating because they were much larger than I expected them to be. They looked so powerful that we were wondering if they could just hop over to the visitor side if they really wanted to. lol All is safe everyone. The exotic birds section was great because the trainers were feeding them during our visit. They were tossing small mice to them for lunch. Also, they were flying all over area, great stuff.
Overall, this was a fun little walk through with plenty of benches if you just want to chill your way through. Tons of social media moments for the gram so keep the camera...
Read moreA great walk through area to see animals and amazing views. You can take your time and do this at your own pace and there are many cast members throughout the trek that are happy to answer your questions about the animals or the area.
We were able to see tigers, deer, buffalo, birds and other animals! Our toddler loved seeing everything and taking time to watch them do their normal thing. One of the tigers was right at the window and she was thrilled.
There are a ton of great design pieces throughout this area too, including painted art on the walls to stone designs. Check those out as well.
Overall: A A great way to enjoy a self-paced animal...
