Okay I was not expecting such a cute little show! We saw the entrance for this and just thought it was some kind of educational bug themed walk-about experience so we went in to check it out. We were given 3D glasses and that's when I realized it was going to be a theater. It was so much fun. Great humor and effects! Prepare to get mildly misted with water and for some stinky smells- it's all part of the show.
It's a lot like the theater that used to be near Space Mountain (Stitch's Great Eacape). Overall a very fun experience! The Bugs Life theme is very cute. However, beware because Hopper can be a bit intimidating and your little one could get scared at times. There's loud sounds, flashing lights, some darker scenes, and lots of movements/wind gusts going on as things pop out at you when you wear the 3D glasses. But the humor generally makes up for any quick intense moments there are. And you can always opt out at any time and the friendly cast members will help guide you to the exit.
We were very impressed and enjoyed this show! It's a great way to sit down and take a break out...
Read moreIt was a fun & entertaining 3D show with visual and sensory effects. What's great is that it's only 8 minutes long, but seems longer. You're not really sacrificing a whole lot of time between your scheduled rides. It perhaps takes longer to get to the theater since you're walking along a trail deep into the root system of the Tree of Life. You can spot many animals carved into the roots as well as the tree. The theater is directly under it.
The effects are really cool. It's amazing how the bugs fly right up to you. It feels like they are singling you out of the crowd. Well, that's because you're the human in their world. The sensory smell & touch elements add another dimension to the whole experience. It's so cool to see the tables turned, and the bugs trying to exterminate the humans. It certainly will make me think twice about swatting or spraying another bug.
If you've seen "A Bug's Life" then you already know how tough it is to be a bug. See this animated attraction while you can. Before it's reimagined into what will soon...
Read moreThis is a 4D film of what it's like to be a bug. The show plays to your visual (via 3D glasses), smell, and touch senses throughout the show.
The theater gets really dark so if you have children who are afraid of the dark and loud noises, please be cautious as it might be overwhelming. The cartoon film itself is definitely catered to the kids and is pretty entertaining for the adults as well. It's not really 'scary' but dd in the surprising screams of when the audience feels it's being touched by 'cockroaches, or getting hit with air, wind and smells throughout the show and I can see how young kids can get terrified quickly.
We were able to walk right in with no issues by checking the wait time on the Disney App. It's definitely something to check out once but I wouldn't wait over an hour for the...
