Massarelli Wines & Liquors — Attraction in Bayonne

Let me give you guys a Diamond in a rough. If you are looking for the best wines in North N.J. Then you got to get to Massarelli’s Wines and Liquors. He carry’s rare wines and great prices. The store clerk is very knowledgeable in wines and liquors I had a wine from here that knocked me off my socks. It was called Papillon. It was around $100 but forget that you only live once. It was so good. I tried to buy it in other liquor stores and they said to me

“we don’t carry that”. Then I went back and the store clerk set me up with a better wine still called Castelio Chianti and it was amazing. Again I couldn’t find it no other liquor and wine store. But as if Lightning couldn’t strike in the same place a third time. I go back and say to my man what’s really good? He says “try this one believe me” and take his word for it and boom I’m struck by lightning again. This time he hooked me up with a Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon. This place has it all. Store was dusty, dirty, and in disarray. Beer bottles and cans on the floor of the refrigerated cases and laying on the sides as though they had been carelessly tossed inside the refrigerator instead of stocked. The wine bottles were old with layers of dust. There were boxes blocking the aisles. There were some IPAs and a few other selections that you don't see in some of the other stores, but the general upkeep was disappointing and would have made me wary of a purchase even if I had been able to find the item I was trying to locate. Great selection of Alcohol with a myriad choices. I love to walk into the store and buy the new selections that they offer. They have a great choice of IPAs which sometimes can only be found at this store so always worth walking into. Staff is very courteous and will do your. best to assist you. As the city becomes more gentrified, its great to have a liquor store that has been established in the community for decades and so I will continue to support them. ...
