One Dollar Zone — Attraction in Bayonne

My husband came to this store yesterday to buy gift wrapping paper for a baby shower we have today. He brought this roll of gift wrap paper that’s say gift wrap paper in sliver. As I unsealed the plastic wrapping of the roll of gift wrap I took out the roll and pull of the small adhesive. The wrap was Not Sliver, it was TRANSPARENT. We went today to get it exchange, the lady working there did not allow it. Grant it the roll was unsealed but I explained to her it was not used clearly there’s no cut on the wrap and the small adhesive tape was put back. I told her this product is misleading to all your customers, it’s doesn't say it’s transparent at all, it’s looks sliver! You would guess that everthing sold at the dollar zone cost a buck. Unfortunately inflation had affected the prices in the store. After covid in 2020 prices rose 25%. So the majority of the things in the store are now $ 1.25 and there are things in the store that can cost more. I still find bargains and its still interesting to look and shop here. The store sells all sorts of good stuff for a $1.25 like rolls of duct tape, simple tools, toy guns and often times ear buds that cost 4 dollars in other stores here cost less. The inventory can vary month to month I find it fun just to check out whats in stock. The staff is friendly and the owner is determined to provide good value for every hard earned buck you spend in his store. I purchased 40 glow sticks for a party to find that 15 of them were defective. When I tried to return them, I was told that I could not get my money back because the defective glow sticks were not in their original plastic packages. When I explained to the manager that the packages were already thrown away, he replied that it was not his fault they were thrown away and that he could not return my money for "incomplete products" After some arguing, the manager still would not accept that I had not brought in the packages and still refused to give me my money back.
